I feel like a noob again

HIya!

I'm just getting back into this after being gone since mid-Cata. I have some old ~BC twinks on Shu'halo that I may start messing around with again, and I'm very interested in checking out the f2p twinking. Already made a couple toons on Aerie Peak horde-side.

I'm really looking for some input, first of all. I'm wondering what gear I may have that's gf'd in and I should keep. I don't really see any old gear on the lists people make for being bis. Keep in mind, I haven't touched these in years. Many things have changed since I last played them. I also have lots of extra gear in the banks, and I'll try to add that info when I get home. These are my main ones, but I have more.

If you're going to be playing 20s (on your paid acct), I would hope you're not planning on leveling out your 19s.
Always better to just reroll, especially with a few of the gf'd items you have.

And FYI, 19s are active at the moment as well.

welcome back to you! very nice looking twinks with some real nice grandfathered gear on them. I remember those sleepless nights in scarlet monestary with 50 doan kills just for the epic ring! - which I never got

I myself used to twink at 29 as well on silvermoon eu which was hugely popular in the 19 and 29 scene. sadly tho, I followed my mother's dreams of joining the army, and now 4 years has gone and im back at the computer haha..

I'm definitely not leveling any of them. I'm just not sure if there is a specific upgrade I should be working on, or if I have anything specific that is gf'd and I should continue using.
I was told the head enchants no longer work, so if that's the case, I need a new helm. I think the AP enchant is gf'd on Razzeric's Racing Grips - Item - World of Warcraft, so I'll keep those. The Skullbreaker - Item - World of Warcraft is pretty good dps-wise but I'll probably change the enchant. I've got a dozen or so other weapons, including all of the BOA's, so I just need to figure out what's the best. Is shadowpanther still somewhat relevant? It looks a little outdated to me. I don't see new enchants.

Yeah, I don't remember how many times I had to run lib to get the damn ring, but it was a lot!

afaik head enchants still work but you can't get a new one anymore. try equipping and unequipping your headpiece and see for yourself.
