Boar : Less dps, slow attack speed, 1 second root with charge ability
Cat: More dps, fast attack speed /good against casters

Thank you. I'll probably level The Rake since more lvl is mroe damage and the boar is basically for the charge.
 
You can get 3 pets to 19 if you follow the guide on this forum. I just got my hunter to 19 with 3 lvl18 pets(wind serpent, boar and rake), gonna lvl serpent and boar to 19 and keep rake 18 so I can have a little wiggle room with xp.

Curious. Why choose those 2 to get to 19 and not the Rake?
 
Rake is already max loyalty and I'm not gonna gain much dmg by lvling him to 19. Also mainly gonna use serpent and boar for most situations.
