Hunter...more health or more mana?

-TITLE-

I dont know what to make a huntard with 2K+ health or like 1.7K mana....or make a dwarf with BoA gear and get a ton of agility and go for 50% crit...idk please help?!

the way i see it you have three options gearwise

go with falcon gear, max out agility and intellect, get http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=34484, and be a glass cannon with tons of damage. you will have like no health though.

or go with eagle gear, get stamina and intellect, getting http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=34484, keeping your mana high and attack power up at a decent level too. you won't have much crit though.

or go with monkey gear, get stamina and agility, going with any spec you want, and having good health and crit and attack power at a decent level. you won't have much mana to work with.

or, you can do a combination, get some monkey and some eagle gear. it's up to you.

here's a rough cookie cutter gearset (going left down then right down in gear slots)

9/9 eagle +100 hp

WSG neck

BoA shoulders? or watchman pauldrons or mantle of thieves

parachute cloak (engineering) +12 agil

raptor hunter tunic +6 stats

gallan's cuffs +24 AP

razzeric's racing grips +15 agil

AB belt

9/9 eagle with nethercleft

AB boots +7 stam

deadman's hand

WSG ring

eng trinkets/agm/pvp trinket etc

Lol nice one druiddoid.

As far as 19 I can't help ya since I play only 29/39 and sometimes 49.

But as far as the upper brackets are concerned, I would get a decent amount of health with a balance of damage and the other various things.

Then again Im a very balance kind of person...I like to keep all my stats in prospective.

Im confused, are you asking for hunter advice in the 19 bracket, or the 29 bracket?? This is in the 19 section, but all of druiddoids gear is regarding the 29 bracket.

deleting post, lol

Lmao Druiddoid, do you just armory some random <class> <name> <spec> that you know, and change it up sligthly? lol.

all from the head. i play this game too much.

i will admit i use wowhead sometimes though

As a mage I would like to say that whatever kind of hunter is a scary one. Each equipment(also specc??) has its positive and negative parts. But generally - I have one piece of advice for you - When I see a hunter low on mana, I know I stand a chance!

As far think is hp/mana hunter the best way to go. Have a maxed one (no boa shoulders thu). For 19 hunter is dmg more about skill then gear and pre wotlk i wod outdps anyone if i so wanted with 15agi on glowes as my only dmg bost (monky aspeck all time). I left him and server behind thu to join a friend and a new bracket.

Armory have maintenance atm but iam Twinkyy on neptulon 3k hp with mining bugg (to mutch xp to get 450:/) ya i have the worst name you can pick :D dunu what i was thinking :D

I've played various specs with my 29 hunter, with different sets of gear. If you attempt to be a glass cannon, you'll rarely live long enough to blow through your mana... but going too low on mana also usually meant anyone with a mana drain could destroy alot of your more important contribution... but with most drains becoming % based, I believe your mana pool will become less vulnerable at lower sizes than it previously was.

This is most likely a non factor at 10-19, but at 20-29, Warlocks have Drain Mana. May need more time to sink in but I believe that pairs of Warlocks with CCer escort in custom games may become a pretty good source of control by shutting out healers.

As a hunter though, unless you are running as an SV Hunter, it shouldn't be too much a worry most of the time.

You'll be mostly on Arcane Shot, Multi-Shot and Auto Shot and not much else at 19, so a small mana pool shouldn't be too big a problem, I'd say go with Monkey Gear with a few peices of Falcon. Wasn't there a ring from DM with int and + hit that's been changed from int and agi? That should be a pretty good piece for the bracket.

A small mana pole for 19 hunter is in fact a whery big problem. In fact do i think that mana buff dmg more then agi or ap do. I have bouth balance and max dmg gear on my 19 hunter, but i never use it. Whenever i tok it on i awais just wanted to take it of and put on hp/mana gear on again. Is started off using balance gear but as sone i tested out go for hp/mana i was hoked and i wod never go back. Hp/mana is far superior then dps. Dps is a 1sec glassconon so balance or hp/mana is the way to go. So far iknow iam the only max hp/mana but i wod love seing some more go for it :D

My gear:

fishing hat +100 hp

WSG neck

Talbar mantle (Champion Herod's Shoulder is optimal)

sentry cloak +12 dodge

Blackened defias +4 stats and 100hp

5 sta +9 stam

4/4 eagle +15 agil

girdle of the blindwatcher

5/5 eagle with nethercleft

fishing boots +boar's speed

wrynn

bloodring

agm/pvp trinket

Night Watch Shortsword +22 int

Furbolg Medicine Pouch

My spec: http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=cVcZb (buff Glyph of Aspect of the Monkey spec)

here is what i have for now.

good build, works like a charm !

Brandatwo - Rivendare

soon gonna switch to BM spec for better survivability.

BTW best thing to keep on is GLYPH OF THE MONKEY + ASPECT OF THE MONKEY... gives you onkey speed every now and then and helps you keep the distance a lot more. i just kite everybody off, except that rogue who once used sprint to follow me around !

i'm only missing the arena grand master and the fishing gear which i'll start working on soon. but it is tough without a friend backing you up !

With the set up that im trying i have 100 agility and 100 mana and around 200 stamina so i think that will work but ill see...if you guys think thats good let me know.
