Hunter Disengage/Parachute: Exploit?

I play a lolret pally and warrior in 29.

Nothing pisses me off more than surviving the barrage of no-skill crits from a hunter to get close to melee range, than to see that hunter disappear off into the distance using the Disengage/Parachute Cloak macro. They easily get a 30 yard separation using this technique.

What do you think...is that considered an exploit by definition?

I thought you were going to complain about hunters paragaging from ontop of tunnel across the map with the flag... Oh well.

rolling a hunter at 29 is considered an exploit. using two abilities at the same time is not an exploit. come on guys.

the disengage + cloak just to get away from the person they're fighting is one thing, thats just using their abilities, but when they do it off the cliffs in wsg to get more than half way across the map is absolutely pathetic imo, where is the skill in bypassing half the map in a manner not intended? personally, i think it should be that either disengage does not work off ledges/cliffs (same as blink), or that blink should work the same as disengage. myself and most of my guildies have adapted to the few huntards who use the DE + PC combo and will just wait mid for them to land, but trying to get up to 9 other people to follow the same thing is much more of a PITA

This is fine with me. Using Disengage, or Sprint+Parachute to get on top of heal huts and other random locations isnt though.

I wouldn't call it an exploit, I actually think it's an intelligent usage of a synergistic combination of abilities/items. Using it to do exploit-like things (such as getting on top of the healing huts) on the other hand, I would consider as exploiting.

regardless, if i cant get the flag by the enemy team the traditional way, im going to use my parachute cloak

mages too, i have seen mages use slow fall and cloak also from the top of tunnels

land and blink and have cleared 3/4 of the field with this technique.

the exploit which i have reported is the horde heal hut. mages and hunters even without a cloak are able to slow fall or disengage to the roof.

mages in 19 bracket use a swiftness potion jump from horde GY and slow fall unto the roof. so they can do it in any bracket.

in 29 i have seen hunters jump, twist, disengage in mid air and they are on roof

no exploit just a pain

GM said, it's a exploit and that my complaint was valid.

you get a mage/hunter FC on the horde heal hut, along with other mages/hunters with them. if they are twinked and your team lacks ranged which does happen. you will not get them down or dead.

same thing occurs in AB when healers, casters, ranged get on top of the horde farm house or stables. that is considered a exploit also

Godd use of items and abilities on a OP class. It wouldn't annoy me If it was on a druid or w.e but a hunter!

I don't play my 29s much anymore simply because of hunters.
