How To Twink a Level One Warlock

Zaeri

OG
Hello everyone my name is Zaeri, first post for me here I'm very interested in making a level one warlock twink. I am needing some help to choose which gear to use and which are the best enchants for me to get (Taking Bind on Account items into account) Thanks in advance, Zaeri :)

I've already got the following items:

Bind on Account Shoulders - (Cloth): Tattered Dreadmist Mantle.

Items Working on:

Grand Staff of Jorden (Stone Keeper Shards - 325)

You definitely do not want a staff. It is MUCH more effective to use a mainhand weapon and furbolg offhand. Get 2 random main hands, enchant 1 with +22 Intellect, and 1 with +30 spellpower. When you have burned the mana that +22 intellect gives you, switch to spellpower weapon till oom. Also, it would be viable to get a weapon with +20 spirit for quick regen, this will be especially useful next patch.

22 int = 330 mana for the record.

10 haste on gloves. Battleworn Handguards are BiS

5 hit on boots

mp5,7int and 15 SP on bracers. Mix your gear and find the perf for you. SP scales quite bad btw.

haliscans jacket with 6 stats and one with 7mp5

70 armor i guess on back.

Skinning and herb as proffesions.

Thanks for the quick reply's. So Ego your saying I should get a main hand dagger with the furbolg offhand, what enchant do you think would be best for pvp though as an enchant?

Boglund - Thanks for the gear and enchants, some say I should get lifebloom for my profession is this correct - I would stay alive longer as I'm a cloth wearer

Thanks :)

Did you not read his post?

if you want to duel randoms i suggest icy weapon + minor speed increase and kite them around while your pet kills them, could work in pve too?

I think that actually might be a bad idea since icy dosn't always pop when you hit them. Plus if you dueling a level one twink rogue they are going to burst you down pretty quick when they are standing ontop of you since you have to be in melee range of them to get icy to pop.

agm bubble till it procs then kite them? and when it wears off go bak in melee + dot till it procs again then lifeblood and run away while imp kills them along with your dot? :)

AGM cooldown is 15 minutes. You are gonna wait that long in between duels? The best advice to follow is that of Boglund and Ego.

leetone, the procc chance for icy is horrible. If you want to kite you should rather roll mage.

If you still want to roll a lock i guess you could just use minor speed and run the fuck away from the oponent and when he starts to attack your imp you zerg him with shadowbolt.

EDIT: Icy on a mage wouldn't have been such a bad idea if they didn't loose too much stats from using it and if it procced more often.

Boglund i had minor speed on my lock lvl 1 twink and i couldn't manage to get away from this rogue in our guild, maybe he had better latency? from my experiences it doesn't help much by itself which is why i was trying to find a way to get icy enough time to proc.

keep in mind that minor speed only gives an 8% movement increase, meaning you have to run around for a long time, to get a shot/cast of anything, and you have to go around large obstacles, or jump over things, otherwise your opponent can just cut corners and gank you
