How to transfer a boa helm from someone else's account to yours! Please HALP!

The most populair way for doing this regarding moving helms aint "Buying" name changes nor using legal documents, you make it harder than it really is... What you do is you create a an account with the same last name lets take this scenario, we have a guy named Paul Smith for instance, and you want to buy a head from him. Now you are smart and make an obvious fake first name, in this case we pick Mr Smith, move a level 10 char with the helm over to Mr Smith, after 1-2 days you contact blizzard support. "Hello I am new to World of Warcraft and a HUGE matrix fan, my friedns noticed me it would be stupid to have a fake name and as you can see I have the name "Mr Smith" on my account from Matrix because... yes I am a huge fan boy, would you please do me the favor and let me have my real name as I already have bought the games =/"

So ye... it's really that simple.. ofc you have to feel if it's a friendly GM or not but really.. no need for legal documents.

Best regards

This is the quickest way to get banned, especially if you're not the same IP as the person you are transferring a character from. Something that a lot of players aren't aware of is the cooldown after account services that links them back to the original account. If you transfer a toon from Bnet account A to Bnet account B, there's still a link between the two accounts showing that the toon on account B used to be on account A.

I have no idea how long you have to wait for that link to go away, or how much information is still available to Blizzard when you request a name change service, but I know someone who has successfully had some name changes done and he's waited several months to have them done after transferring just to be sure the name change won't flag the character.

You also have to understand that any way a person has for doing a name change will either involve talking to Blizzard directly (like a normal person) or some behind the scenes stuff that is certainly against the CoC and probably illegal. Forging documents and trying to trick a GM with your obvious fake name scenario will not work out like you want it to.

I'll leave the link of my personal experience with the above situation here: http://www.twinkinfo.com/forums/f42/psa-buying-selling-accounts-2014-must-read-58781/

Well I never said it wasnt against the TOS did I? Besides from that, I am just talking from my personal experience through the last 1½ year, I have now succesfully 10 heads 4legs and a 39 Twink on my account, moved through this way, besides from that I can name 4-5 others from TI that I have done deals with through exact same way that has between 5-10 head/leg/shoulders done exactly same way. Btu as said I have never said this wasnt against the TOS, this is like exploiting and everyone takes their chances when dealing with "sketchy" stuff if they aint good at it.

If you follow the directions in the post I linked, then you are significantly less likely to get banned. Trust between the two parties is paramount.
