How to kill (some)hunters!

Hi guys, since this is an important thread(I know how you all hate hunters), I will speak so you can understand me. Basically, I'm posting scenarios what to do to kill a hunter. (I won't do all of them, so could you help me with some?)

Rogue
-Make a mouseover for sap.
-Target hunter, sap hunter, mouse over sap on pet. (Useful if the hunter has a stun/trap)
-Ambush
-Pop avoid and any attack buffs
-When they disengage, shadowstep
-If they scatter shot, you can trinket
-Kill them before the pet comes!

Most hunters in this bracket aren't that good at all to be honest. Back pedaling, keyboard turning, etc...

most people can beat a bad hunter if they know what their doing

what if they scatter shot + trinket then run away and then counter shadow step with disengage then they use pet special/intimidate(if bm) when you try to sprint to them.


paladin method (holy)

spam in sequence FoL and Exo

Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo /flex /spit ....prob dead hunter if they stood in range for Exos.

this has been my strategy after i got kited my a backpeddler

Rogue : If they are good hunters, stay in stealth or /dance infront of them

i assume your joking about the /dance infront of them

/dismount , petattack

even if the hunter can no longer see you, the pet follows were you are forever, pet doesn't attack but it stays with you

My solution to kill 24 hunters, wait till they get 8+ debuffs in WSG then hope to kill them before their pet skillshots me.

hmmmm
my solution pop soulburn-instant soulfire as the duel starts then throw a Bane of Doom-fear"trinket scattershot"- fear- unstable affliction -corruption-fear -drain life works like a charm

or you can just do the old fashion Bane of Doom and run inside of the Lionspride Inn and cast soulharvest while his pet attacks ;D

As a feral, just lots of power shifting. They disengage, I travel form back up to them and trinket if needed. Works sometimes.

Why u no use holy shock or avengers shield!? Also versus some of those 1,6k hp+ this can turn into a Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo,Fol,Exo>OoM. And when a hunter doesnt know he cant outrange exo he mostly backpeddles anyway.

This thread should be how to kill hunters that have the slightest bit of brainpower.

Thats not how you kill a hunter as Holy you silly exospammer.

This isn't gonna work for ever (if it even does now). Paladins lose exo in mop, so no more spamming it

thats how i kill the average hunter. Oh and in MoP paladins will be able to close the gap with hunters with constant 30% speed. So i guess i can melee them to death or run since getting close will not work anymore. If the hunter can kite correctly then yeah there's nothing I can do.

[Patrol]

Warrior dueling a *decent* hunter:
Choose location with nearby building.
Start in Defensive Stance near building door.
Taunt pet.
Run inside, kill pet.
Wait for hunter.
VR. Rend. TC. Don't follow hunter outside unless he starts rezzing pet, in which case go Battle Stance and Charge, Rend.
Run back inside. Repeat until someone loses (it will probably still be you).

A better way is to chase them while shocking on cd and csing the pet. Heal with WoG and FoL when necessary. Throw in a bit of LoS and most hunters will lose.

If anything, never let the Hunter stand still.
