I got a couple images to go with it, but here is a basic run down on how to do it.
1) Your battle.net account will need a "main" account and a "starter" account. i.e wow1 and wow2
2) WoW1 would be where the character you want to change the name of is, so delete the character
3) Log out of WoW1 and go to WoW2
4) Re-Create a character (any race/faction) and use the deleted name and make the character. [MUST BE ON SAME REALM... .Obviously]
4a) Typically character names are locked to your account for 90 days after deletion to keep the name for your use. This is where the abuse of mechanics comes in.
5) Log out of WoW2 and log into WoW1
6) Restore said Deleted Character.
7) You will be given a force name change with something along the following two images on this imgur link I am about to send you.
