50k is chump change these days, but Daring Dirk isn't at all hard to get.

3 vendors, and it isn't exactly that rare.

I have an obscene amount of gold, and wouldn't bother dropping 50k on it when I can just go to the vendor.

Gold is beyond easy to make now.

15 million now is worth about what 200k was in WoTLK.

The secret is the same as it always has been. Only there is much less focus on professions, and more than ever ever focus on playing the AH.

Of course, each xpac has it's gold making means. Garrisons in WoD, for example.
