How do I survive longer as Arcane Mage?

sorry for my bad english!!

I'm having so much fun with Arcane Mage rn. Arcing Cleave talent made Arcane Barrage feels so satisfying to use now imo. It kinda sucks I can't spam Arcane Missles now though :Sadge:

With that said. I die so fast now. I sometimes accidentally steal aggro and my shield would break instantly leading to my doom. My only heal is Mageweave bandage but I often get hit by AoE when I cast it :(

Are there any trinkets and enchant should I get?

sorry for the late reply

it says to get the gem recipe, I need 1350 gold. I'm capped at 1000 so I can't get it :(

He is playing f2p so he cant get the gems or medallion. Op your best bet is to take things slow, eat in between pulls. Make sure to pick up mirror image for boss fights as well. Hit em with a big boy arcane surge then spam arcane blasts and hope for the best.

There are a few trinkets that may help <= level 20 --

Argussian Compass https://www.wowhead.com/item=27770/argussian-compass?bonus=6710

Other options are to increase INT and Spell power, as well as maybe look at the Mark of the Shattered Hand WoD weapon enchant - as I have found this proc's with single as well as AOE spells and it is a bleed effect

What kind of content are you usually doing? Doing dungeons with a group is different from soloing dungeons, for instance. Advice for one case might not work well in another.

If there's a lot of aoe around, I'm guessing it's either queuing for dungeons or the echoes event. If it's dungeons, learn how to trust your tank and your healer. If it's the echoes event, the main takeaway should be controlling enemies and limiting your pulls. Both are important for mage soloing even if you have good gear.
