US How are 49s?

I've been really enjoying myself. 3rd talent row and 2ed honor talent really adds some flavor. The horde twink guilds seem too be more social. I Qued into an alliance premade from blades edge and they wouldn't even respond to me friendly hellos. lol

I'm really enjoying 49s. There are a few standout classes, sure, but all classes can perform well--even *gasp* elemental shaman! (see: https://xpoff.com/threads/best-classes-my-opinion-so-far.79519/ and https://xpoff.com/threads/lets-make-a-tier-list-bfa-8-0.79764/ for a discussion on classes.) There are a lot of gearing options and the talent choices really open the bracket up for varied playstyles. It's probably my favorite bracket, and it's easier to gear for now than it ever has been in the past.

A few things cause problems at the moment: number one is the Ramstein's Lightning Bolts http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/13515, which, when a couple players use it in concert, can wipe an entire enemy team and swing a game instantly. It's obnoxious, and I hope they nerf it (even though I admit to using it as well, out of necessity, on a few of my 49s...). It can also kill an FC extremely quickly and just doesn't make for very enjoyable gameplay unless your aim is pubstomping.

Plate classes with Sul'Thraze http://us.battle.net/wow/en/item/9372 also have the potential to be pretty obnoxious, especially fury warriors.

Beyond that, I wouldn't recommend solo queuing, because you're likely to bump into a premade on the other side. The alliance community has tons of members and seems pretty active; the horde side is picking up a bit, but still lags behind, largely because most of the horde 49s are already in the same guild.

So there's my attempt at an objective take on the bracket. It has a few flaws, but I still consider it the best and most enjoyable bracket, with 39s coming in second.

I agree with the ramstein's being OP, HOWEVER...ive been interupted so many times with range, stun, etc. You just have to watch for the lightning strike to the caster....if you dont train yourself to look for that, gg. Once you know to expect and look for it, I think its fairly easily ranged or avoided.

The problem is when, for example, you're all stacked up and fighting to gain control of WW in Gilneas and three melee all pop theirs at once and wipe 6 players in a global. I agree that it's a different animal if you're in a 1v1, but that's not really where the issue lies.

I've been enjoy the bracket and I feel that almost any spec is playable in a BG setting with a group(which as suggested above is the ideal way to queue). PvP talents really do add a lot more depth to each spec, some more than others.

There are also groups being formed Alliance side all the time and during peak hours I see 15+ 49's online. Leveling does take a little bit, but saving your Satchel of Helpful Goods will have you decently geared right when you hit 49

Ramstiens Bolt is pretty broken but I do sort of like that it can crush players who are playing a spec considered OP anyway.
