Hotshot Pilot's Gloves are no longer available?

Hello Twinks,
I was speaking with one of my friends whom opened a ticket with customer support in regards to the drop rate of [Hotshot Pilot's Gloves].
The response he got went like this:

"Hotshot Pilot's Gloves and similar drops have been affected by the level changes in Gnomer/Uldum. The problem is, this item has a chance to drop - but only in that specific zone, and only from mobs of a specific level. And from what I understand, there are no more mobs in that level range left after the tweaks. Therefore the item NO LONGER DROPS."

Now because he was offline and did not directly speak to the GM, I'm wondering if it actually does drop, because while running Gnomer I had a [Hi-tech Supergun] drop. Unless my information is invalid, I believe it is a "similar drop" due to it's drop rate and it dropping off of the same type of mob that Hotshots should be dropping from.

My question to you is, have you have Hotshots drop recently? Or even if you haven't, did you get a different response from a GM containing different information?

(...) that is horrible now no one can get that rare (...) drop.... Well atleaat my 8 intell gloves are pretty much as close as ima get. Thanks for the info and if it was rare before now its gone be a dream (...) drop, everyone and their mother could farm this thing and it wouldnt drop i can't imagine now.

i am 100% positive they can still drop.But probably only from the ''Bosses'' such as Crowd Pummeler, Electocutoner 6000 and Thermaplugg himself.Due to that gnomer used to be a lvl 35 dungeon and those things used to steadily drop but now the mob levels have been nerfed and due to item ilvl the bosses are the only things lvl 31.

Dcm ... You don't understand. I've always wanted hotshots to complete my holy set. I've actually only missing that for my holy ally set, I got full bison protection but I should of concentrated on holy FUCK !!! SO YES HOTSHOTS ARE MY DREAM.

They still drop, same GM that says shadowfang doesn't drop. Cavern still drops as well.

I'm guessing percentage is now from Super impossible to..... God Dam it stop trying to get hotshots and pvp possible . Gl to all on your boss drops.

U get better awser asking 24 twink... HotShot Pilot´s Gloves were last seen 2days ago in [EU]Blackhand Horde Action House.

From what I am aware they still do drop.

These gloves use to be a level 27 item (ilevel 32). The formula you use to figure out what level mobs an item drops from, add 3 and subtract 3 from the ilevel (so it would be 29-35 in this case)

If you look in gnomer all mobs range from level 24-28 with the exception of the bosses which are level 29.

I am pretty sure this and Caverndeep Trudgers drop off of bosses only.

As for people who may say "Why would it be calculated according to the old ilevel" , My theory is that blizzard changed the level of the mobs but didn't change the level range for what items are dropped from, an example of this is Gloomshroud armor and why it doesnt drop.

Gloomshroud armor is an ilevel 21 chest, so in theory it should drop off of 18-24 mobs in SFK in which it doesn't, but if you look back in time it was an ilevel 25 chest before cata meaning it would drop off of 22-28 mobs (of which there are none in SFK making it GFed)

Sorry for the long post but this is how I believe item drops are calculated.

I can give you many more examples if you dont believe me
