Hitting haste break point as MW monk

Snack

As far as I know the hit break point for MW monks is 8.5%. And at lvl 50 1% haste = 8.1 haste roughly. 8.1 x 8.5 = 69. But since MW monks have the passive talent that grants them 50% + haste from items and enchants, you need 69 / 1.5 = 46 haste to reach the breakpoint.

So my question is, what would be the best way to reach this breakpoint without loosing too many important stats?

And furthermore, would Embrace of the Wind Serpent be worth farming?

Thank you :)

Honestly I'm not sure now - stupid wowhead.

Reaching Haste cap would be fairly easy due to the haste increase monk healers have. However it was my understanding that monks struggle enough as it is with ooming. Wouldn't trying to reach haste cap lower your mp5 even further?

it depends on what items I would need to replace, for instant, if I just needed 32 base haste, I could go with Embrace chest and 10 haste to gloves enchant which wouldn't affect my mp5 :)

But if I need way more I'll just stay with regular setup :)

Embrace of the wind serpent, shadowy laced handwraps with +10 haste and seal of rivendare instead of one of your rings should get you to 8.32% haste nicely. The mp5 loss is nothing to what you gain.

Alright thank you, so 8.3% is haste break point? And 12.3 haste pr 1%? If that is so, the 22 haste from Wind Serpent chest, 22 haste from gloves + enchant and 8 haste from ring would still leave me 17 haste from breakpoint.
