Hit Cap =/= 100%

Idk about you guys, but I still miss even though I'm hit capped.

11 hit rating on a rogue means you're hit capped for abilities, that includes sap. Night elf racial gives 2% chance to be missed though, meaning your sap can miss if you don't stack more hit.

On a side-note: you can't expect people to help you when you're convinced that you're doing it right. Juicy is trying to help, but without your gear info all he can say is that Bliz hates you.

the whole basis of this post was cause I remember duels I had with Akfortysevin aka Zalaran and Cirran. (not sure what spurred this memory).

All of us Human and hit capped with rating of 11. In about 5-6 duels with both of them each of us missed key saps and more than once.

Now, I know that vs. some racials the hit cap is more, but vs Human it bothered me that I'm trading hit for stats when I'm missing anyways.

If you had 11 hit rating and you were fighting humans of the same level as you then i see no reason why you should be seeing yellow misses. The only explanations that i can think of is that possibly you were misstaken and were not hit capped at the time or that you accidentally read a white miss as a yellow miss, and the lack of sap was due to fast trinketing or you white hitting them.

Not sure if this will help but . . .

Sap is considered to be a ranged attack much in the same way blind is. That's why my rogue at 80 has 6.8% hit but can still miss saps & blinds against night elves.

As for humans . . . . no idea.

You were both 19? If the soft cap IS 11, than you didn't have 11 hit.

Heightened Senses is the awnser to that, dunno why it missed on 19 but ss or it dident happend.

And hit cap is 7% vs Nelfs soo you can miss with special attacks anyways.

If you are sooooo adamant about seeing my armory here.

The World of Warcraft Armory

Put on a simple pearl ring. Duel another person, non-nelf.

Spam sap for 1 hour. If you miss, take a screenshot of it, showing you have 11 hit rating as well.

Sap

Says melee range though... and spell physical. Don't see why it should be considdered a range attack in any way.

doesn't matter if its ranged or not, hit rating works for both including spells as well.

the problem comes form elsewhere...

my priest spells do not miss either...

any of you having any resistance ?

that armory shows 7 hit rating not 11... and no talents spent in getting more hit.

i guess thats not what you looked like, but for now, like everyone else... i must admit that your problems comes form the fact that you are not hit capped !

EDIT:

wait a second, i just reread your post... you are all rogues ?

if so then you could have also taken a parry as a miss, but parry and doge can happen even if you are hit capped. thus rogues will have easier ways of evading your abilities because of their high dodges. it could have been just that, he dodged or parried.

3 cheers for Maz, that is all I have to say.
