Hidden Mp5 on Devout Aurastone Hammer

This was brought to my attention about a month ago by Gracob..

The [ITEM]Devout Aurastone Hammer[/ITEM] seems to have 1mp5 just like [ITEM]The Blessed Hammer of Grace[/ITEM]

The picture below shows there is no Mp5 difference with either weapon on. BOTH WEAPONS HAVE THE SAME ENCHANT!

What do you guys think? This could make [ITEM]The Blessed Hammer of Grace[/ITEM] 100% useless!

even if there is 1mp5 on devout i would still prefer blessed for my sp wep due to the resilience on it. The int on an SP wep is worthless. Plus it makes weapon switching slightly easier.

Fuck that, resilience at 19 is useless even when fully stacked!

4 int > 3 resil!

Blizz's item swap does wonders aswell.

0.23% spell crit > 0.21% reduced change to be crit IMO!

oh yeah, i forgot about the crit... what class are we talking about here? for a shammy dual aurastone would probably be better, but druids would be better off with blessed

Devout all the way, Unless you are trying to stack resil. Resilience actually scales very well especially if you are seeing diminishing returns on high amounts of armor. Remember that resil will reduce ALL damage magic/physical too. Devout is the best tanking weapon for a pally in 3.3

Something is off. Int should give you mp5 while not casting, so even if there was hidden 1mp5, your not casting should be higher. However when I compared my Devout on my shaman to int from other pieces my Devout gave me 1mp5 extra while not casting. The only thing I can assume is it's not normal mp5 from these and Blessed Hammer is actually giving 2mp5 while not casting.

Devout Aurastone Hammer has a fraction of one mp5 at 19. It rounds down when showing the stats on the actual item, but you're still getting the fraction added to your overall mp5.

Fix'd, and I prefer the dmg reduction instead of the crit.

Honestly, it sounds like that the +4 int pushes your mp5 just enough to give you an additional 1mp5. I don't think there is anything "hidden" on this item.

.21% dmg reduction is about 1 dmg reduced on a 239 hit or higher (rounding the .5 dmg reduced up to 1) - not exactly op. Would rather have the +60 mana, +.23% crit instead of avoiding 1 dmg on any hit done to me that is 239 or higher.

It's 238, and I completely forgot about that. Res is useless lol.

Ok, srsly want to get technical here...

You need a hit larger than 238.095 to have the damage reduced by 1. Having a 238 hit done to you would be less than .5, which then the system would round down. Looks like you rounded.
