Hey lets alll roll paladins:D - US



Hey, just so everyone knows. All of you rolling gayadins right now just to be op are actually ruining the 19 twink community . Yes we know who you are, the poorly geard agmless toons that still can't be killed. Warsongs have turned into a whoever has the most paladins wins. It might be fun for a while but i guarantee some people will stop queing up. And que times will get longer. I miss the variety of classes in bgs . Btw im not bitching about paladins. I'm bitching about how more than half the team are paladins. Being not able to kill anyone because of the healing circle jerk is not cool. Anywho alls im asking is consider going back to your main twink. I know most of you have main twinks that you switched from to play lol good luck killing me paladins.
 
announcement: last night, i played against a team that had.. hold unto your socks: 4 HOLY PALADINS and 6 FREAKING HUNTERS. no premade. i did a little / cry, and promptly managed to get the fabulous score of 3 kills & 21 deaths. (i'm a mage.) i decided to /ragequit doing bg's for the rest of the night...
 
rolled my rogue yesterday, ran into a team, 3 prot, 1 holy-pal, 1 ret, 3 hunters, 1 rogue, 1 feral druid. we had 5 hunters, 2 rogues, 1 holy-pal, 1 ele-sham, 1 mage and got wiped bad.



we could kill the hunters/rogue/druid couldn't dent the paladins, then they all glued around the paladins, it was a nightmare...total heal or self heal circle jerk. i was so tempted to just AFK out

BoA gear is basically unfair gear in PVP only more people who take the measly amount of time to level their main and grind heroics and get. And I'm one lazy ass. I'm gonna Q.Q
 
I do agree there are way to many holy paladins in the bracket, but they are easily counterable (aka ret pally/rogue/mage/hunter/ geared as hell arms warrior/ a good enhance shaman) my point is their healz can be over damaged if you focus them down one by one.
 
For the first time since I can remember endgame is more balanced than 19's.



Also, the loss of so many abilities made playing my twink pretty damn boring.

I'm going to give 19's one more go once my guild hits 20 and I see if I can get a few new builds to work, but, based on what I see coming out in 4.0.6, nothing is changing anytime soon.
 
Paladins have been nerfed just as much as the next class in this bracket. When I first started I could bubble and band-aid. They turn the bubble into a dmg reduction buff, but no more bubble band-aid. Nerfin blessing of freedom to hand of freedom. Reducing the time it lasts, then uping the cool down on it. Giving us Blessing of Kings was great for a couple months then that to went away. Anyway we have had our fair share of woes, those of us that have stuck with it are the ones wrecking it in WSG these days.

Gratz on the 50K HK's looks like you are one of the original paladins from the old days when paladins weren't that good.
 
Holy Pallys are not an issue. On my hance shaman i can kill one 80% of the time. Also Shanker stop QQing about *OP*classes when you defend yourself like an idiot.

Then you're against some pretty awful Holy Paladins.



They are a problem, is well acknowledged that their heals are fast and heal for ridiculous amounts. Then you add in the Survivability factor, armor, massively increased by use of shield + mail items, HoP and HoJ. Then also Instant Heals via Holy Shock and WoG.



Might not have the most overall healing output in comparison to priests, or the CC of that of a Holy Priest. But single target healing, surviving versus multiple targets, and if they aren't being retarded and stacking mass cloth items, their mitigation to physical damage, means decent ones are hard to take down.



Enhancement Shams shouldn't ever really be able to kill Holy Paladins. They might be able to pop into a team fight and interupt a FoL meaning burst on the Paladin might kill it. But beside that, due to their insanely long CDs for their main damage output, they shouldn't be able to. But hey, WSG is a team game, 1 interupt and the burst from Lava Lash+Primal Strike+Flame Shock can be enough to mess up Holy Paladins, yeah.



Holy Paladins are overpowered.



Another reason why balancing is a problem; Arcane Mages are a clear counter to Holy Paladins, locking them out of Spells for what is it? A full six seconds? Even with mobility, they shouldn't be surviving in a team fight/caught out by multiple enemies. With the sheer input of Hunters into the bracket, it discourages people to make the effort to play their Mage. Obviously there are exceptions, but I've seen a few Mage Hunter Rage comments. Hunter numbers also discourage people newer to 19 from rolling a Mage. Simply because without CDs, AGM/Insignias/High Health pools, they stand absolutely no chance.



Nerf Hunters > Holy Paladins #1 OP > Mages are much much more viable in PuGs (not saying they aren't, I see plenty of good mages hold their own etc etc, just means more people roll them) thus having the imp CS to win games over Holy Paladins. Unfortunately then, it gets to a point where Mages are FotM. It's a circle, repeating. You could say, hey, to counter Mages lets buff Warriors, give them a few more CDs, Intercept perhaps; bigger Charge radius, Hamstring. Then Hunters are at a dire disadvantage if FotM keeps changing (not that I'd complain, they need to feel that way, at least for a while). Rinse and repeat.



It's hard to balance this game, especially at lower levels. But I'd enjoy a new FotM(/patch), I think we all would.
