Contrary to popular belief you can in fact land gouges without foreman's. 2.5% less chance to be dodged or parry isn't as game breaking as people make it out to be. Also, Dagger attacks are much faster, missing a white attack isn't going to mess with you as much as it would with two slow weapons.
If you're going daggers you're better off with smelting/naga gloves. At least that's what suites my personal play style.
