Hey 19s, a few questions from miraged/muskie(bad)

Hey there, been playing league/quit wow since early cata. Just wondering how 19s is at this point. I got a free week about 6 months ago and it was pretty bursty and I didnt see very many familiar names and 19s seemed very bursty and imbalanced. I was also a big arena player and the removal hit me pretty bad. Has there been anything done to make some sort of arenas viable, or are people playing in nagrand or whatever. Is there any arena scene at all? Also, how come nobody plays on hamcake land ? I haven't seen very many people on there in a while/ they are all euros. Most people i play league with have told me that its dead/not the same / not worth coming back to.. are there any changes coming in mop that will make it more balanced? How is the premade scene? I see some posts but nothing seems that high level in terms of play/competition.

Basically im just wondering if its worthwhile at all to come back, and what i should be expecting if i do. I havent updated any gear since wotlk, and id rather not have to grind too much to be equal. Are there any servers with active (older) players that are competitive and do wargames?

Might be nice to play some pugs once in a while at least, with a few familiar names.

I will give this to you as blunt and straightforward as I can. The bracket is currently getting used to an enormous change with the release of a recent patch. The burst you experienced several months ago has finally diminished... hunters got nerfed, and healing got buffed. Right now the bracket is the most balanced I've seen it in months. Optimism runs rampant among the community and guilds are already practicing for premades. Very bright future and definitely worth checking out. Have fun!

If you surf around the forums here on TI, most players have written and contributed an updated guide on all the gear / ability / playstyle changes and choices brought upon by the patch. In a nutshell: healing is buffed. dps is nerfed. just about every class besides rogues and hunters are enjoying a nice little buff, while some classes (druids and shamans) are basking in an enormous one. because the bracket is now healing heavy... i would recommend rolling one of the fun dps classes that received a buff (warlock, warrior)
 
lol funny story about that, I stopped playing in like the middle of the season @ like 2350 and didn't get it. Crusade, swagsurfin and some of the others did though.
 
Drugs forgets to mention the fact that Warriors, Rogues, Hunters, Ret Paladins don't do shit for dps. Healing is a little bit out of control still. Most balanced in a long time? Arguable. But nowhere near ideal.

Rogues do shit for damage? Sure about that?

yo muskie, long time no see. 19s are alot better right now than they were in cata.

Premades picked up a shit ton this last month and it's expected to keep going through MoP

Warrios have to be played extremely well to put out good dmg. but its possible..

Rogues do very intense dmg in a quick window they just lost their mobility.

Hunters have lead the charts in several of my games especially since holy shock nerf. And not to mention they have a solid amount of CC when played correct. (just because they dont PEW PEW and lead dmg and have the highest burst with one button doesnt mean they do shit for DPS)

Healing seems solid imo.

I played 19s solid through cata. and on and off through BC wotlk. The bracket right now is much more balanced than it has been through the last 2 expansions, i wont go into BC discussions.
