Heroes of Newerth - New game

...also referred to as HoN, a new game pretty much the same as DotA with improved gameplay, more items, more heroes and better graphics. The creators asked the makers of DotA whether they could make a game similar, they said yes and there it is. In Beta right now, anyone else playing it?

hmm DotA was fun, i think the fact it is its own game should make it more interesting since DotA is restricted to the WC3 base

lol yeah, if you went on before the recent patch, chronos was like the hunter of HoN.

dota is older and works off of a wc3 base



HoN is still in the balancing stages but will probably have the potential to be better in the future. time will tell

i play hon, and it confuses me like hell.

Dota has 97 heroes... thats 37 more than hon. It's still way more than HoN.

Have you ever played dota? No offence, but it sounds like you've never played it. Please dont compare anything to something you dont know a crap about.

The major thing i like about HoN is that it's almost always lagg-free and the reconnect possebility. Since my current internett turns of whenever the phone reciver goes on this is a awesome feature.

HoN do lack heroes imo. You always see the same heroes in every game.

HoN got great graphic, nice keybinds and is both quicker and overall nicer (just imo). The Open beta is open now so if you want to try it out just for fun. Download it and play a few games.

Admittedly i haven't played dota for a while, and its surprising to hear that there's 97 heroes. the problem with adding more heroes is that they would have to be completely different, because otherwise they would just get repetitive. witch slayer and pyro have same ulti, pyro and defiler have same wave, sure they're slightly different but i believe there's already a hint of repetitiveness to the heroes. And yes, the reconnect possibilty is great.



What would be really epic is 10v10's. My clan would all get together (it's for people who go to my school) and have it at one of those computer places where you all sit in rows and yell at each other... I've heard some of the funniest raging at places like those.
