Herbalism: A bit of help

Hi, I've been 39 Twinking lately but decided to try out 19!



I'm obviously wanting to level Herbalism but wondering if maybe there's something fancy to it I'm not aware of. I already explored most of the zones I think I'll be using via a friends mammoth, but the aggro range is insane. Is there anyway to do it other than having an 80 run around destroying a zone for you?



If there's a post for this, my apologies but please link me. I didn't see a Guide for it. Thanks all.

A friend of mine lvled herbalism by searching for herbs with his 61 rogue. Kill the mobs around it, log lvl 19 and go pick the herb. MAybe not the fastest way, but it is a way.

Here's what I wrote in another topic. I didn't invent it myself, I read it somewhere on this site but I can't remember who came up with it initially

I soloed 1-225 at level 12, here's how:



1-100 w/e starting area you are in

then you go to Hillsbrad, this is where you farm it all the way to 225.



South of southshore, head back and forth between the small islands (east-west) far out in the ocean, outside murloc/naga reach. Collect stranglekelp from 100 to 160.



Then you collect Liferoot from 160 ro 225. You go north, and head back and forth along the river to western plaguelands. All the liferoots are on the riverbanks. Your turning points should be the north part of chillwind camp to the north, and the waterfall to the south. Sometimes there is a node at the bottom part of the waterfall, so turn exactly at the waterfall.

Along the river there are turtles (non aggressive), and bears, spiders, lions (aggressive). None of the aggressive ones can swim, so whenever you aggro one just find some deep water and wait for him to unaggro.

The last points are quite painful (the whole liferoot grind took me approximately 4-6 hours).

Stranglekelp can easily be grinded at Ratched and the coast of The Barrens, no clue if it's better there or not though.

stranglekelp along the west coast of STV, you can swim along and search for herbs along the coast without aggroing from the water, if you find an herb on land log onto your main and clear the zone then log back to your 19 and pick.

One more spot for Stranglekelp; it can also be found in decent numbers all along the coast of Westfall.

Thanks Underseer, that's exactly what I was looking for, something slowish I can solo in between ques. I'll be trying that.

You will need some help past the Strangle Kelp part (it won't get you to 225). But you won't need to leave STV to level to 225. Ofc using a main with herbalism makes the search a lot easier (so you can find the nodes on both chars).

With gloves that have +5 herb on them you can farm kelp from 80-170. after that a little help will be needed.

You could always use the skinning glitch.

I hear about the skinning glitch, and I understand how it works with skinning...but how does one do it with herbalism? If you are leveling skinning AND herbalism, can you just round up like 6 beats, and kill them close to a herb? then open the herb (but don't loot it) and skin all the beats --> open herb ---> skin beats? is that how it works?
