herald of the titans kitty BiS

I was looking around for a chardev of feral dps BiS for a herald of the titans run and I wasnt having any luck. does anyone know of one or could make one and post it? Pref with hit/exp caps then focusing on mastery.

Ye use Soberlolz chardev, exept the leg armor, since that requires 85:p.

Mine isnt that good, and i didnt reforge mastery either
<

Im pretty sure with leatherworking you can use the 85 leg armor not 100% sure tho.

Its how it was at 70 with level 80 only leg armors you use the Leatherworking leg armor only

also if I remember correctly it was Mastery > everything else including hit even if you weren't hit capped due to feral mastery being stupid op.

unless you had 4piece t12 ofc

it was mastery > all from when mastery was introduced in LK (and ArP b4 mastery), and up till the most recent patch in cata

but now its kind of a wash since haste = energy regen and faster white attacks (good in conjunction with SR), hit & exp makes sure those hits land, n crit is always good (up until crit caps...but i wouldnt worry about that)

hit cap is really easy to get (8%)

exp is good, but i would just take it where its on gear, not gem, enchant or reforge to it and just take that...also exp cap should still be 24, or w/e, for 80s like it was in the last patch before cata launch, and not 26 - unless they reverted that.

so yea sobers looks good. but if you want to just look around thats what wowhead is for, just learn how to use the gear filters and you'll find anything you want relatively quickly

Dunno if you can put the leg armor on the pants, but that doesnt really matter since the enchantment requires level 85

Think it was made impossible with patch 4.0 or so :s

"Due to recalibrating expertise for Cataclysm, level 80-83 creatures (which includes bosses) dodge and parry less, so you need less expertise, 23, to be exact. Sorry we didn’t announce this. I would classify it as an unintended consequence (though not unknown) and not a desired change on our part.

At level 85, you will need 26 again." - ghostcrawler

anyone know if that has been hotfixed since, or if 80s still only need 23 exp to cap

gems makes ur meta useless

nice catch

all you need to do is toss a 10agi/10 crit gem in the cape slot tho to pick up a +6agi bonus and the meta

it shows as 3 red and 1 yellow on wowhead, but if its only 3 on live then thats ok too. in any case, afaik, 16 agi and 10 crit is better than just 20 agi

yeah it is but I just did a rough version of the chardev.

its probably like 98% bis probably tweak some reforging gemming

was bored and decided to make a profile using wowhead: http://www.wowhead.c...rofile=33756550

for some reason stats are all messed up on wowhead, but i put it into chardev and heres the #'s with just cat form and LotP: 706 dps, 5888 ap, 8% haste, 8% hit (capped), 47% crit, 19 expertise (cap is 23 like i said, unless it was ninja reverted) and 15.17 mastery so overall its better imo (compared to sobers) unless youre purely mastery stacking and want that extra .26 mastery (which probably wouldnt even bump up the % bleeds do, i think it only goes off whole or half #s)

anyways....i chose 2pc t8 b/c 4pc just isnt that appealing. yea 8 more sec on SR helps smooth out a rotation, but honestly its not hard to keep up w/o that and the offset gear is better than tier imo

mainly focused on getting as much mastery as possible, but while keeping hit cap, higher exp and good balance of crit/haste.

if you wanted the exp cap (even tho dodges will be few and far between with 19 out of 23 exp) you could simply change the reforging on the chest from exp -> mastery to haste -> mastery.

if you wanted absolute highest mastery you could eek out one more by changing the belt reforging from crit -> mastery to exp -> mastery but i wouldnt recommend that since you trade 3 whole expertise (dropping you down to 16, which is still fairly high imo, but still) for only 1 measly mastery rating. and im sure there are other spots where you could garner a point of mastery rating here or there (like neck) but those are also not worth it in the long run imo. you could even swap a trinket out for vanquished clutch of yogg and reforge the crit to mastery, its the highest value you can reforge on 226 gear i believe.

this gear is what i think is best, but there are a lot of alternatives if you just want to get herald and not farm week after week after week hoping for that last piece of gear for bis. for example 4pc t8 is still good and pretty easy to get (2pc from vendors). same with vendor neck, legs, gloves, etc. hell using the 200, 213 and 226 vendors alone you can build a decent set with everything but 1 ring, 1 trinket, and a weapon all of which can easily be found. obviously a lot less stats than "BiS" set up but as a dps, especially a competent one, im sure you could do just fine....healers and tanks on the other hand probably want close to the best gear possible

another alternate choice area is trinkets where you can also have blood of the old god (if you lack hit), the vanquished clutches i mentioned before, or hell.....darkmoon card greatness is probably one of the BiS trinkets if you can find a cheap one or have it in the bank. you might not be able to reforge anything, but 90 static agi is huge for crit and ap (almost 260 ap with mark/kings and in cat - more with might, esp when that gets buffed to 20% melee ap vs 10). and 300 agi (like ~950+ ap) on proc, look out. 45sec ICD and 35% proc chance means its going to be up basically instantly every time the ICD is up thanks to cats sub-1sec attack speed and plethora of instant attacks

furthermore i would almost prefer to use fordragon blades for a weapon since they look so badass. they also have slightly more mastery, crit, and haste then orca hunters. but the 94 hit (including the glinting gem) on the orca makes it pretty hard to lose since it equates to 3% hit & since we dps in cat form who really cares about our looks

lotrafen would also be a decent choice if you were hit capped w/o a weapon. but i prefer fordragon > lotra if it came down to it

and finally, for enchants. mongoose is probably the best since we're in ulduar gear with lower crit/haste levels. but berserking (about 550 ap on proc in cat with mark) and black magic (provided shred and mangle can still proc it) are also viable options.

not too shabby for an ilvl of 218 and being readily available except the weapon (ez to get) or trinket (might be a bit harder to acquire, but generally nobles cards are on AH if not whole deck, so snipe some when you can) and saves you all the time farming ulduar gear if you just want to jump straight in. compared to the bis set up its got practically the same mastery, trades 2% crit for 2% haste but dips just under the hit cap and has 13 whole expertise less, plus it has about 300 less agi (mainly because it has half the # of sockets). just food for thought
