Help vs Prot Paladins

Swoops and rsq had the best responses on how to beat one, also may i add that try to use your imp pet when facing any kind of pally. The imp dispells their hoj, which can save your trinket. just try to make sure enfeeblement is up on them all the time to cushion avengers shield and to slow their flashes for the easier fear interrupt.

20 locks are still a lot better than they were last expansion.

I've got to disagree strongly with this. It's kind of a useless point of contention now that MoP has been live for months, but still...

The imp dispells their hoj.

? Imps don't get Singe Magic at 20. How do you figure your imp does this? I know that Succubi have Seduce that is uncontrollable, but I have yet to experience an Imp using Singe Magic on its own.

Do you foresee any change to prot in the future or will it stay like this until the next expansion?

I imagine the next big change we will see will be in 5.1. I doubt there will be any reordering of f2p classes, but certain classes may get slight buffs and nerfs.

Its hard but doable if they aren't very good. You should have a bit of silence-free time because they'll inevitably just open with Avenger's Shield.

If they're already on you, fear early to open up a gap, then Immo>Incinerate>Incinerate>Conflag for slow. The travel time on Incinerate is really nice for casting it in fears, since the Immo itself wont break it right away.

After this, kite a bit and get another Incinerate or two in. Fear around when your Conflag slow is ending instead of reapplying it. They'll probably be hitting the health range where they remember to click their heals, so this fear should interrupt a FoL. Incinerate > Immo > Fear in this one. By the time your fear finishes casting, theirs will be broken and they'll be casting another heal out of it. Then Incin/Conflag/Conflag and hope for a crit or two to finish them off.

Pop Dark Regen around half health and use your healthstone as needed, preferably while Dark Regen is still active.

Its pretty easy to counter this, but difficult concepts like covering your heals with Avenger's Shield seem to elude most of our precious Prot Paladins. Its also a lot harder to pull off inside when your Fears can LoS them around corners. This works like a charm against terrible Holy Pallies casting Holy Shock offensively too

What kind of terribad would open with avengers shield?

And those buffs and nerfs will be completely random due to the weird way scaling works. For instance while f2p hunters have been nerfed to the ground relative to cata, BM hunters are currently so op at 90 it's laughable. Warriors are in the same basket.

So hunters and warriors have a nerfs incoming in 5.1, but who knows how that will effect balance at level 20. Could end up being a buff. You never know.

My bad, you need to be demo spec for the imp to dispel you, and yes it does dispel you, try it out

I say if they pop a major cd, it all depends on how much hp you have left or if dark regen/healthstone/agm is on cd. If you dont have enough hp or those are on cd i would just fear and kite them with conflag.
