There's apparently this mount you can get from the Hearthstone Beta or something? Some people seem to think it will require buying the cards from the in-game store.

Here's a guide on how to sign up.

It's in my understanding they will be fairly cheap.

Thought I would throw this out there, just in case people want to give it a shot/know about it :eek:
 
This looked interesting so I did it really quick. Hoping I'm selected cause I have such a bad comp so they need people to test it to see how it runs with crappy comps.. That's what I'm hoping for atleast lol. Maybe just for doing the beta test they will send it to us without paying money

Really few people got into the beta tbh, atm it's mainly a hype thingie with well known streamers, the beta is not even out in the EU. It may change in the next weeks with more keys giveaway worldwide.

The game is f2p, you can pay for booster packs and access to the arena mode. But surely the mount will be linked to some kind of money transaction indeed.

Just saying Alliance got another iconic Alliance themed horse. Every new Alliance mount is now yet another recolored horse. Atleast they get a Nightsaber for pvp mount next patch. Atleast Horde got good mounts to look at.

saying that alliance gets another blue mount (blue is one of 2 colors of the alliance) is EXACTLY like saying "horde gets yet another red mount" (red is one of 2 colors of the horde), and both are not true - horses are brown, not blue. nightsabers are white / black. Rams are white / grey. Elekks are grey / purple. mountain horse is brown. Only blue mounts for alliance are blue mechanostrider and great blue elekk. Horde gets red mount, and they dont get many red mounts. Your statement just has no sense.

Any card games is more or less pay to win because some cards have amazing synergies with the classes you play. There is also the arena mode which is a sort of draft: you can choose a class between 3 (there is a total of 9 classes) and to fill your deck you have to choose 30 cards, each being picked between 3 random cards. You play with this deck till you loose 3 times. You can win up to 9 times and the chest you get at the end depends on how well you did (9-0, the dream). To enter the arena mode you have to pay gold, gold which is earned with daily quests, wins, disenchanting cards or real money :)
