(look, our 1 year was technically april 29th but we flaked. please dont mention this or it will hurt our feelings)
It's officially been one year since Teldrassil Firefighters threw open our doors (and guild bank) to welcome new and returning members to the Vet bracket. It's been an incredible ride in almost every way and I am often struck by just how successful it's been. I hope you will humor me while I take a moment to get sentimental about the occasion.
As with any organization, TF has had its share of mistakes, missteps, and just flat-out fuckery. But the guild leadership and membership that worked through that to shape our guild into the organization it is today are some of the best people I've had the pleasure of meeting in my 14 years in this game.
It has always been my goal to bring more attention and people into the F2P/Vet playstyle and Im proud to say that with 500+ members and well over 200 unique accounts, TF has done just that. It's not been without work. We've spent an unbelievable amount of time farming mats and gear and hundreds (thousands?) of dollars buying tokens and transfers to get those mats and gear to our members.
But every day, I can log on and see anywhere from 10-20 people online, working on their twinks, playing BGs, helping their guildmates, and participating in a community of like minded people. Forgive the immodesty but it feels good to have played a part in bringing these people together and in them enjoying an aspect of the game that I cherish.
This success would not have been possible without the steadfast leadership of our co-GMs, Ohti and Drad (who has been eaten by Classic) and our incredible officer core, Shadowcat, PowPow and Ferocity. We also have a handful of notable members who have stepped into leadership roles like Kony, Donor, Tydubz and Juan who have all, in their unique ways, helped make TF better than it was without them. And of course Retvet, forever R1 in our hearts.
I am extremely proud of this guild. We have stayed true to our mission of providing an accessible, friendly and (mostly, lol) non-toxic environment for people who want to enjoy 20s. Here's to many more years of fun and hipster specs.
Now enjoy some random screenies that still make me smile.
