Blizzard won't do anything about it more than likely because they have no proof on their end. I'm hoping for nothing more than a permanent vacation from Twink Info for like....half of this community.

We're looking into the issue. but Twink Info isn't really part of or related to the Twink Cup. It seems a little arbitrary to remove someone from the Twink Info forums for actions that don't have anything to do with the Twink Info forums. I imagine that you guys, as an in-game community, can figure out how to deal with such matters internally. I think there would be a fair number of people who would be upset at Twink Info sticking their noses into matters that didn't concern the site.

Can you tell me more about that? People DDoSing each other is one thing, but if someone is using an illegal method to gain personal information from our site in order to facilitate that, then yes that would most definitely be actionable, assuming we can prove it. It was my understanding from what I've looked into this issue that people were getting IPs from Skype.

If you look into the pictures someone had access to a mods account and a mod even gave Skype information out. So if a mods account was accessible by someone else isn't that them using the website to get IPs? just curious?

This is quite serious. I've notified the site administrators to take a look at this thread.

If you look at the screenshots, you can see one of them contains a mention of a moderator on this site providing IPs and potentially unbanning someone who was banned by another moderator, some sort of behind the scenes nepotism. One of two things likely happened:

1) The moderator account was compromised (which brings up a whole other realm of problems)
2) The moderator was implicit in providing information that led to the activities mentioned in the screenshots

I quit WoW back in WoTLK. Skype was popular then.

I've mained almost every other type of competitive pvp game out there during my hiatus, and not once was the main communication VOIP Skype, it's proven TeamSpeak, Ventrillo and Curse Voice cause less lag, use less resources, and they don't give away info right away so you can be ddos'd.

Not sure why I feel like I'm stepping into a time machine since returning.

For all the people finally just proxying up, realize there has been a lot of real id games and people get crazy when money is involved. Just because you bought a proxy doesn't mean protected, you must change your ip that you used in the past because if people already have your ip, the proxy is useless.
