Seal/band/ring of argas has been grandfathered for Horde. Might be bugged, but as of right now, it is grandfathered. Alliance can still get it.

Apparently they just added filters for class specific items, so scouts/sentinels medallion is still available for everyone, just beware of class filters on merchants...

Not gear but: It appears that Recipe: Lean Venison is no longer available, as the vendor in Desolace never spawns in 5.0.4. (Thanks Naq)

Any other grandfathered gear people have found? (items with the same stats but a different name don't count)

I've seen this word alot, but I don't know what it means, would you mind explaining it?

It is no longer available, the "Grandfathers" will have them, people who have been around for a long time.
Or at least that's my interpretation.

It is GF'd but unless you're going to mog gear to look like it then it doesn't matter, it was 10-14 gear.
 
New RFC gear has the same stats under a different name, so while the names are GF, the gear itself is not. SM now requires 21 and 23 to enter, so even if they add the tabard to the drop table, it's no longer available to 20s.

The PvP neck is still there. In the top right of the vendor menu just show all instead of your class and spec. That said, agility now gives nothing to non agility classes. At one time agility gave dodge, armor and melee crit to non agility classes, it no longer does. It's still a nice place holder until you level JC for non agility classes though.

I'm not sure Argas is GF. I haven't tried to get Diabolical Plans - Item - World of Warcraft since the patch, but Wowhead doesn't suggest that it has been removed.

Strength and agility wrist chants should still be available. It's only stamina that might be removed.
 
It does look like seal of argas etc are now grandfathered (based on on my farming on a character that hasn't done the quest before. Not definite but pretty certain, would like confirmation that others can't get it to drop).
 
I farmed it forever a few hours ago, killing every demon I came across. It never dropped. I sent it in as a possible bug(it is possible) and will check for a reply tomorrow. If its gone, then that sucks because that means I will have to find a replacement ring thats just as good, or just use the PvP rings :/
 
I got it on the third kill on an ally 20. I don't have any horde that haven't done the quest to test. I might make a panda at some point, but Argas is definitely still in the game.

Either you're doing it wrong or are just unlucky.
