With that said, anyone else playing any other games during the 29s hibernation we are currently experiencing?



I've been playing the Deus Ex: HR, Witcher 2, and Battlefield 3 open beta. DE:HR was well worth the play and the cover based shooting was actually pretty well done, as was the story line. I find the Witcher 2 to have a stupid difficulty curve from the start, which actually gets easier as the game progresses. Battlefield 3 beta is buggy as shit but man that game has some serious fun potential.



This is specifically aimed at the 29s community so if it gets sent to some backwater offtopic section I'm gonna commit ritualistic suicide.
 
Also, holy shit Breaking Bad is such a good show and if you disagree you must be a bad.

I think I'm about to get back into DotA, they're supposed to release it before the end of this year which means the mass beta invites should be going out soon for DotA 2. I've said time and time again I think that DotA is a genre killer and it will be the next "big thing" we see in competitive gaming. FPS's and MMO's - your days are numbered

The game play is better, I dont EVER have to worry about getting banned for being racist+inflammatory+rude to other players, and nerds rage even harder in DotA than they do in WoW.

I'm talking about DotA 1 you incompetent moron. <--- I cant even being to tell you how much restraint I'm showing right here compared to the DotA games I've played tonight. My "previous history" in TF2 has been spotless so this affects me in no way, but if games really do increase in price based on your behavior this will only incentive buying the game on a brand new account to ruin games on a no-name/worthless steam ID (which I have no problem doing). Past that? I've been practicing my throwing/game ruining skills in DotA with the best people at it for years, so even if I cant directly flame people via chat I can absolutely ruin their game experience by intentionally losing rofl. And before you say something beyond retarded like "WELL WONT IT BE OBVIOUS AND YOU'LL GET CAUGHT HURR DURR" No. I wont. It is literally impossible to tell the difference between bad play and game ruining in DotA. Not to mention the fact that none of that is set in stone yet and its nothing more than a general vision for the future of gaming. Slammed ez pk gg no re.

BF3 does have some serious potential, but the map they chose for the open beta is godawful. For a game boasting its huge levels, vehicles and 64 man support, all they released was a cod style map for a game that can't be played like cod. The result being people camping in shrubbery and behind boxes. I might as well be playing black ops for this crap.
 
if im playing something other than wow, it's usually Bloodline:Champions, tiger woods 08, or dicking around with minecraft.

8GB RAM

Windows 7 Professional 64 bit

Radeon HD 5850



Runs at like 120 FPS on low, I forget what it looks like on high for FPS though.

looks like your graphics card is on the really low end tbh. I think minimum spec has the 5670 listed so you would be cutting it close.

for my card you would end up paying about 150-200, but you could get a 6850 for 100-150 or a 6750 for about 100 bucks.



In other news the numbering scheme for graphics cards is fucked beyond belief lol.

Tbh, I dont know what your problem is with me. I thought we had no issues, but now that 29's have stopped playing it's like you've made it your mission to try and troll me on the forums. I couldnt give less of a fuck because I'm almost certainly letting my sub expire in Nov or Dec (whenever the free month ends), but it is an interesting development in the 29's drama (or at least for now).
