Gearing for 90s

Your best bet is to find a friend that will give you the 80 wins you need for conq cap, then attempting to BG so the experience isn't as brutal(If you thought the 20-24 bracket was bad). Once you have the max amount of conq gear pertaining to your cap and current honor gear to fill your other spots, it's basically just a waiting game every week for cap reset so you can hit 550 ilvl. Until then you're going to get buttfucked by anyone with 550ilvl, because that's how this game works @ 90. Once you're fully geared though you're still going to get fucked into the ground by every subpar pve nerd @ 570+ilvl, and it will piss you off greatly. If you're not playing on a server like Tichondrius, it's going to be near impossible to find arena partners, so don't get your hopes up for max level 3s.

PVE
Pick up your legendary quest from Wrathion, google all the requirements for that and plan accordingly. You probably won't get your legendary before the prepatch though, so don't expect to get invited to any serious pve guilds. Anyways, hit up the timeless isle for free epics, Q up for the normal scenario "Arena of Annihilation" to get a quick 450 weapon. Once you're @ around 490ilvl, do your daily H scenario as well as attempt to clear all phases of Throne of Thunder and Siege of Orgrimmar LFR. This will probably be one of your most boring wow experiences, but it's mandatory for subpar gear. Once you hit 520ilvl do some flex SoO until you have gear for normal raids. Once you've done normal attempt to do Hs, etc etc.

My Advice
You're arriving extremely late to the party and your max level experience is going to fucking suck once the freshness of it escapes your mind. Do your best to power through that first phase and it should settle out from there. Your ability to PVE on a serious level are still fairly high this late in the patch, however don't expect to get too far in anything PVP oriented. Competent players are going to be almost impossible to find for 3s, let alone grinding out 550ilvl to even be recognized in the first place. Pace yourself so you don't burn out too quickly, and try to have fun rofl. Your best bet is to just play it casual till the xpac hits. That's when the game is going to get fun.

Do the celestials each week for a chance of 553 PvE gear or 550 PvP gear.
Get full timeless gear from the chests on the isle and do SoO LFR or just farm honor from bgs for 522 PvP gear.
Brov kinda explained it all.

If you haven't done professions its also annoying.

You will have to accept that you are going to have to do some hardcore grinding for about 2-3 weeks before you can actually play. Then once the 2-3 grind is gone, you will spend ages farming for better gear (PvE) or finding partners for PvP. Should take about the same time as getting a F2P fully BiS.

also 1 more tip

look for long lasting arena partners, not the ''yolo'' groups. It may take a while but they are out there, that should put you on the right track how I learned was from my partners n shit...

Bion , GL with everything there :) !

another tip, use your farm!!!
at 90 farming is ok :p, it gets you mats you can sell or use for max lvl profs.

And your sig... is kinda... COOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! xD

Can you group up using realid with a partner with someone from another realm?

Of course I had to start gearing for Balance spec... /hic.... I see its not viable for 2v2.

Best way to gear a new 90 is to wait till AV or IoC CTA and queue it, sit afk on a hill (in stealth if you can) and alt tab to youtube / netflix or w/e you want to do. No joke btw, this is the best way.

Also get the conquest cap and do the celestial boss every week for a chance of BIS prideful items but at this time in the season your cap will be huge to start with so get some good person or a friend to boost :)

balance is more than viable in 2s...depending on how far you wanna take it and Ii have no idea what is your gear and are your talents/glyphs are tho

you should be able to group up with a player from any realm (US or oceanic or even Spanish realms, xept EU of course)

Talents/Glyph change depending on the BG

well uh for starters id try to get out of that 522 gear and have all 550+ gears and then reforge it ...use askmrrobot and most boomies forge crit/haste

Aslo enchants/gems/professions are almost ''mandatory'' if you want to compete

Tbh id just look up a boomkin guide over at the battle net forums they got some good modifier and mouseover macros there aswell

Balance is amazing for 2s, go with a lock/rogue and you're so OP.

FFS it took me 3 years to be above average on my Failtopay toons.

lol. Such modesty!

Did you Boost a level 60 or higher character? Too late now, but you get a profession boost, too (primaries and first aid). Maxing professions is a pain.

I found this helpful, but unsubbed before 5.4 so not sure if it's still good advice:

"Engineering is currently the best profession for Balance Druids, as it provides you with Synapse Springs Icon Synapse Springs, which you can line up every 3 minutes with Celestial Alignment Icon Celestial Alignment for increased benefits. The rest of the time, use Synapse Springs on cooldown. For your second profession, any of the passive Intellect gain will do, although Tailoring will pull ahead slightly."

EDIT: just noticed you haven't dual-spec'd. Had enough of resto?

So I've started to experience the intensity of Arena's. The shit is pretty fun! Just got to learn some macros.

Thanks to everyone here with their advice! My gear has improved and slowly my skills are too!

/cheers

Bison,

Been a long time but we used to play a bit back in the f2p days. If you need anyone to arena with, just add me on real id.

Yo I added you my btag is livingdream#1392

Need RBG or Arenas for cap...

No. Stop. You're playing 90s like you're one of us endgame players that have done this for years. You know why Brov's advice was basically how quickly can you get on the hamster wheel and grind out the game? Because once you play end game for such a long time that's LITERALLY ALL IT IS. Don't boost yourself as fast as you can through LFR SoO and arenas/RBGs etc. That's stupid. You'll get BiS gear, not learn your class at all and get bored when you have nothing to do. Learn 90 at your own pace. Go have fun. Do heroics first. Seriously. Do REGULAR heroics. Get Skada. See how much damage or healing you're doing. Damage? Do more. Be more efficient. Make sure EVERY cooldown is being used. Healing? Use less cooldowns. Less mana used. Less overhealing. You can do a lot of work at 90 at the lowest tier. Then, once you feel comfortable with that, move up a bit if you want to.

This is not the time to become the best end-game player. This is the time to get good at the basics and hit the ground running in WoD. Your goal should not be to be besti n slot geared before WoW. Your goal should be to know your class so well that at 100 you are one of the first and best players doing heroics. Those people get invited to raids when no one has 100s yet / no one has the gear yet.

90 can be a lot of fun if you play the game. Go enjoy killing rares and getting cool shit man. Make sick mogs. Do all the fun stuff in the game. Don't do the boring shit that makes you hate people and hate how Blizzard has no idea what they are doing when it comes to actual gameplay and not fun sideshows.

I'm already bored and frustrated with the F2P 20-24 bracket... its unbearable these days especially pugging.
I boosted my toon and guess what... I knew nuthin about 90s.. the talents etc. I failed over n over in the beginning. It was like going back to F2P as a noob. F#$% keybinds etc... lol

What is Skada? Imma have 2 google or wowhead dat.

PVE makes me zzzzz... the mechanics.. the linear gameplay... I enjoy the chaos of WPVP, BGs... Emerald Dream got lots of action.. high population fairly balanced with Horde/Alliance.
WoD is in the future. I dunno where I will be.
The past has gone and the future is a concept... a possibility... a hope... a promise... a dream not yet manifested in reality... ALL I HAVE IS NOW!!!

Killing rares... kills me personally... zzzz only thing fun on Emerald Dream is the opposite faction tryin to kill you as u kill the rare.

“Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss. The abyss gazes also into you.”
Friedrich Nietzsche

Hatred... is something that has already seeped into a part of my persona... that one of which is projected onto the 20 toon known has Bisonpower.. RIP
Being targeted all the time... Having resilience nerfed .... healing debuff... the bracket become unbearable. The F2P persona Bisonpower "hated"... & he became the monsters that he fought..

Haha! TY for the advice anyway...

BTW do you like my mog?: sorry dunnno how to post it so it looks big... u have to click n view
