@Catz Gear hunter takes on average 30-35 minutes to scan all European servers.
However the scan is done in real time, and it scans the realm (or liked realms) one after the other, that is to say that if you do a permanent page refresh, you can see an item appearing from one minute to another.
Otherwise a refresh every 40 minutes should be enough to be up to date more or less quickly.

As a UX designer, I would like to suggest some improvements:
- remove welcome screen
- put registration link to sign in screen
- care about cookies for logged users, we must log in too often =)
The better way is to have 3 screens: sign in, sign up, market feed, that's it.
