EU+US Gear buff - using correct armour for your class

Grandfathered
Hey Folks

I am looking for a little guidance here, the passive armour skill that says you get 5% primary stat for using all specific armour for your class, for example, the Hunter using all Mail items, gives 5% agility.

Does any1 know, is it 5% increase on each item you have equipped.
or 5% on total, when all slots are the same?

Also, is this buff hidden? i looked at my DH this morning, recorded their agility stat. took off 1 piece of armour, it drops only by what is stated on the armour piece. i then equipped a cloth item in that slot, and still the agility stat remained the same.

So to me, weather i had full leather armour, or a mix, shows the same Agility mod on my character sheet, so where is the buff?

thanks in advance!

I do believe the buff is only for ilvlpvp and the 5% is not for each piece but if you have a full armor type set

That 5% increased stat buff is only triggered in instanced PvP. Outside of BG's/Arena you can do whatever you want. And the stat is triggered by having a full set of your appropriate armor type, and is not calculated by every individual piece.

5% agility + 5% stamina

Yes, it is.

Sounds like a tooltip error on your side because you will lose more than only the agility and stamina from that leather slot.

This is wrong. It is active everywhere. On top of that if you do ipvp your stat template will have reduced stats if you don't use your armor class.

It depends on what you are doing.

Mix on a demon hunter - only to increase runspeed as havoc for example.
For everything else you have to calculate it. Because the better your gear is, the more primary stats you are losing and you have to compensate that with 2nd stat gains. But in general I would say that it works for all specs who rely on intellect. Shockadin the most, then elemental shaman ...

It's not wrong. Stats is the only thing that matters in world pvp. What you choose to min-max is up to you. And of course you lose stats if you don't use your appropriate armor type inside instanced pvp. It's basically the reverse of the 5% increase.
