I just watched season 3 premiere, I was amazed by the amount of detail and breathtaking locations for a show, definitely the best looking one out there right now. Having read the books big thumbs up for them managing to make a good transition from page to screen recreating such a rich world is outstanding. It stays faithful to the books when it comes to incest, nudity and torture, I will gladly recommend the show as long as those do not deter you, well its an epic adult fantasy show made by HBO.

Start watching the first episodes of season 1 and then decide. I love it and have read the first 3 books of the series as well.

The TV series are really nice and well done as Poledancer said, nearly the same quality as the famous books. Also, if you have seen Rome series (Rome (TV Series 2005) it's kinda the same.

Afterall, it's HBO so you wont regret it!

Overall one of my favorite series, the first couple of episodes are hard to get threw but once you do its kinda a wtf is happening and you wont be able to stop
