Fury Warrior Helm and Gloves.

As a Fury warrior, would it be better to go with Burnished Helm of Might and Foreman's Gloves, or Polished Helm of Valor and Thorbia's Gauntlets?

Thanks

It's personal pref. I've done a lot of damage testing with recount and it basically comes down to the same DPS with both, since 8 str from thorbia is a lot and the hit/crit from the polished helm is way better for your DPS than the expertise/parry. Interestingly enough the amount of crits you get while crusader is up makes the biggest difference in DPS. I would say crit and str are the best stats. However, recount DPS tests don't always apply to WSG. Having a healer or mage dodge your bloodthirst/heroic strike combo at a critical moment could cost you a life, or the game.

When you gear your warrior you want to consider a few things:

1) Spell hit cap is important because you do not want to miss piercing howl.

2) Hit rating scales upwards because the majority of your damage comes from white hits (as well as most of your rage).

3) Casters cannot dodge while casting.

I would go with the expertise, especially if you are human, and ESPECIALLY if you have a gutterblade. This will mean you have a 0% chance of being dodged by a non-melee class with both weapons. Those with the 8 agi 8 dodge enchant will still dodge your attacks at least 2.75% of the time.

Thanks both of you for the advice. :)

This is actually my newest twink, so I do not own a Gutterblade. But I will test both out to see which one I like the most then.

Also, what would spell hitcap be again? I don't really remember.

both are really nice personally i like valor helm and thorbia's

but a warriors gear is 100% situational i say this all the time make sure you have every piece of gear possible and get doubles with different enchants (i have 3 pairs of thorbia's and 3 foreman's -with 7str 15agi and 10haste i use all of them depending on the ally team

this also applys to arms and prot spec not just fury make sure u have huge bags because as a warrior you will need them

yeah... my warrior has all 20 slot bags and a 22'er and it's still not enough :(

btw, in what situation would 15 agi be good? i find myself never using the agi gloves any more.

From what Turdel told me 15 agi is better for the crit in Arms. Not sure about Fury/Prot.

Thorbia's and Valor all the way!

Correct, I switch to +7 Str gloves when I am Fury.

this unless ur using foreman's gloves then 15agi or 7 str

Clearly I'm not anyone.

Razors edge... loses 3 stamina whoopie doo. Gains 1 strength - main hand and specials hit harder than with gutterblade. Gains 2 hit - main hand and offhand white attacks hit more often and give more rage.

Gutterblade... higher basline dps but this is diluted to negligable difference because its offhand. Oh and you will be hitting with it less anyway.

Enjoy your gutterblade.

first off as fury valor helm and bracers give u hit cap so hit isnt to big on this wpn

second gutter is faster than razor's edge so you will be hitting faster so that means you actally getting about the same rage if not even more becaue you'll hit faster

overall faster wpn > everything for OH, gutter is faster means its better nevermind the stats it gives

gutter is Bis believe me not because its GF becuase of its speed, i know my shit when it comes to warriors mang

@ 19 warrior adeus- To extrapolate what you are saying, are you advocating the use of, say, a dagger if one doesn't have access to the gutterblade for an OH? For instance the BOA PVP dagger has an attack speed of 1.50?

On topic, answers seem all over the place. I imagine humans would benefit more from expertise because you can build upon an innate strength (baseline expertise) as opposed to a night elf that would have no baseline expertise (where adding expertise doesn't give enough to be worthwhile).
