fury to arms?

i cant wait, arms was always the most fun spec for me

1 may still be viable with a human

Yeah Riv in premades the 25% healing reduc would be a game breaker

25% Healing Reduction

Arms Warrior will definitely be viable in premades with the proper support.

Apparently fury is going to be shit next patch.

why is everyone saying fury is going to be shit next patch? only thing i can find about fury changing for 4.3 is the 5% nerf in damage. we were already nerfed 5% in the last patch and no one complained at all. am i missing something?

Well Fury is shit at the moment imo

before 4.2 it was good, after 4.2 it sucked just as bad as Arms imo. At least you have a hunter you can play now right?

4.2 notes
  • Arms
    • Two-Handed Weapon Specialization weapon damage increase has been lowered to 12%, down from 20%.
  • Fury
    • Dual Wield Specialization weapon damage increase has been lowered to 5%, down from 10%

Fury damage was cut in half whereas Arms was lowered by 8%. Add the 25% healing reduc coming back in 4.3 and the 5% fury nerf it's pretty obvious to see why Arms is going to be superior if you're BiS

Fury will still be good for defensive purposes, but a warrior on D is frowned upon by me unless you're Prot.

cut in half..? i wasn't aware that a 10% decrease in damage is the same as cut in half. arms was reduced by 8% in 4.2 also remember that.

mortal strike going from 10% to 25% effectiveness is pretty good and makes arms warriors semi-viable for teams only for that purpose, but still think it'd be better to run a mage rogue or shaman. what class would you opt out of in favor of arms warrior?

Fury isn't going to be that much worse, but arms is gonna bring a debuff that no other class/spec can supply. PH is nice, but other classes can snare, only an arms warrior can bring a 25% healing reduction.

Damage wise arms already surpasses fury, 4.3 will just make that gap more pronounced.

Guess I'll need to buy the BoA bow to complete my arms set then! I've been slackin since I just enjoyed fury, never even tried arms.

bedlam gun is BiS for arms, never use BoA range for a warrior

reason bedlam gun always gives more crit than any other range or bow of ire for FCing

now if ur into thrown and think you'll actually use it (lol) use thick bronze darts or sludge cake throwing knives

BoA bow is bis for Arms. You gotta have Sparkmetal bracers

I didn't mean that Fury damage in total was cut in half just the weapon damage increase.

Here's my official BiS Arms Chardev http://chardev.org/?profile=268208 . This Chardev has GF'd Leggings (Swap with Goblin Mail/Foreman's Leggings & get someone or your main to add +24 armor since they are BoE) & for some reason it won't allow me to increase the skinning to 225. Also make sure to have Heavy Sharpening Stone on your BAR at all times.

Here's the BiS Talent Tree for pugging http://www.wowhead.com/talent#Luoz . Talents for premades may be different because the Arms Warrior will most likely be focused so it would be 2 points into FD and none in Blitz http://www.wowhead.com/talent#LG0z

i can't even count the number of times i've used thrown on rogues / druids trying to get out of combat, knocked back heals while rooted, interrupted bandages at range, and even killed people with a thrown crit. for a while when i was prot i used keeshan's bow, and i felt naked without a thrown weapon. the bow takes way too long to aim before it's fired and most of the time the person gets a tick or two of bandage off first or simply gets out of combat.

i am interested in trying arms out in 4.3, but the hit rating is an issue since i don't have bravo company ring and the GMs won't switch my items. i'd probably use two demon bands to gain the 4 hit necessary. i simply can't give up the bronze darts.

well this is what u gain/lose if u use bedlam/bracers of most trusted compared to sparkmetal/boa bow

1crit/1stam > 2 str now i dnt mind the 2str but the extra crit is very useful

and the 1 stam isnt great but more survival

i never use thrown i just havnt been in a situation where i need them, i never see ppl bandage and if i do i just charge at them, the only thing i see them good for is keeping stealthies out of stealth but again im always with my guildies and never go off to far away from them so they usually take care of stealthies

Rend, deep wounds and thunderclap is your best friend when the enemy is going to bandage. I never use my range wep as a warrior, just not used to it. On my rogue yeah but not on the warr. Plus you could charge em if they bandage. Field Dressing is great for use with bandages/potions/victory rush/crusader procs. It's really crazy how much more it heals you with 2 points in it.

Adeus you also gain +5 more armor with the Sparkmetal over Most Trusted

opps didnt even realize the armor gain

so its 1crit/1stam to 2str +5armor

idk i must say it is pretty tough to decide ill have to use both and see every little gain because u also gain parry with the str, ugh ill let you know every little stat later >.>

also i agree with you there turdel you should always have rend/ deep wounds on ur target

5 armor is negligible, so that doesn't really need to be broguht up.

I'll probably use a thrown over boa bow brcause eventually i plan on running with hit pots along with.the other hit gear listed on that chardev. Missing white swings pissed me off aince im used to 85 pve on a hunter where autoshots are crucial.

Ignore the mistakes, I'm on my phone

if you do want to use thrown (assuming thick bronze darts)

horde:

helm = 4 hit

bracers = 3 hit

x2 demon's band, or spidersilk cape?

ally:

helm =4 hit

bracers = 2 hit

ring = 3 hit

demon band

not sure if anything else gives hit(that isnt mail/or for a warrior)
