Any tips for the EU... the last xp-off game popped 1 year ago :(

We pretty much followed this:

http://www.twinkinfo.com/frontpage-news/32237-how-bring-bracket-life-part-2-a.html

We started with a post that was a sort of "call to arms" -- a list of ready players with their server names in in parenthesis, divided by faction. We updated the post on mostly a daily basis, and because we set expectations early on in the description of the lead post, people seemed more willing to give the bracket a try. Actually, lemme see if I can dig up that thread for you.

Yep, found it:

29s Ready! Games on Tuesday, 9pm EST/6pm PST - Forums - World of Warcraft

What you see is the last update before the thread capped, but that gives you an idea of how we worked the forums.

It took us a little under two weeks to get games going, and we only played one night a week for the first month. That's where the continued marketing came in -- to keep interest growing. The second month things increased to two nights a week, and that feels a lot more stable. I didn't think we'd get games last night due to D3's release, but to my utter shock and delight, 29s came through with a number of games.

Good luck!

if you could get all the 24's to come here that would prob bring this bracket life :)

So this is completely off topic, but when the fuck did we start calling ourselves "tinks" instead of "twinks"

idk, but i know ALOT of bads do it because
1. they are 8-12 years old
2. they dont fit the real definition of "twink"
3. their "w" keys are broken? but hey, atleast their "s" key is working perfectly fine. :)

oh, wait..... xD

twinks..........

when i started playing in 2007, some people on my server called them tweaks, tweaked, and players who came from i think it was RS or EQ called them "epics"

also heard terms like: boosted, farmed, pimpgeared when talking to new players to WOW-BC who would inspect me, in our conversations it was terms used in other games.

btw twinks/twinking concept did not start in WOW and actually blizzard game design was originally intended to prevent what had occurred in other games. they made starter area, and 2 areas after that no combat zones like durator and barrens for example. also the the use of BOP gear, putting levels on gear and guests etc. of course some things slipped thru the cracks and with the addition of BG brackets and no XP from them......rest is history
