Free to Play, Pay to Play... how about Learn to Play?

Guild Master
I find myself not enjoying this bracket for a different reason than before. The balance is nice and the battles are long. But the skill has dropped even more now than ever before. It's really frustrating when you have 3 Rogues on you and you don't die because none of them have Kick bound, and 1 of them clicks and turns. Then we have a hunter autosnatching my Resto. To top it off, the only reason Pallies seem to silence me is because the ability also does damage.

Please, I beg of you.
- Learn to interrupt and CC. Purge and Dispel is important too.
- Stop auto activating your pet abilities, this is beyond stupid.
- Bind ALL your abilities. Even the ones that do no damage. They're often the most important.
- Unbind S.
- Stop clicking and keyboard turning.
- Learn to play objectively and cooperatively.

Thank you, have a nice day.

It have always amazed me how the skill-level between f2p and 19's always have varied so much

Is it really that surprising? 19's are mostly experienced players with the full game that chose to lock their experience. 20's are a mix that includes a lot of players with little-no experience who can't level any higher because they don't have the game.

Of course you're right, it's just that I felt that even dedicated AP-players where nowhere near the quality you can find in 19's.

Beg to differ.. I'm not even on AP or have a geared AP toon but some of the best people in this bracket are on AP.. You maybe talking gear wise as 19s get chants and all kinda things we cant. If 19 is really that far ahead skill wise then dedicated APers I would be scared in the 19s.

@ OP.. welcome to the bracket

And no, I am not talking gear-wise. I am not claiming myself to be a god at WoW (I absolutely am not) but I feel like I'm obligated to whine a bit at least, because the current state is pretty LOL

And yes, most AP'ers is in no way bad, just feel that if you compare AP with Draenor (EU) it's a big gap.

AP quality has become total trash lately too... if you go back to the first 2 months you have the best players in that time period, because they knew how the bracket worked, there was lots of burst, and it was less accessible. It's more accessible now and more well known, and the burst is fixed. Of course this is the cause of the gaping skill gaps, but I wish we had a better way to arrange premades or even a way at all to get Wargames :/

Like Oniyui said, the skill level on AP varies a lot because people are there for different reasons than any other XP-off bracket. Even on AP. There are plenty of different motivations and attitudes towards playing. Being a dedicated player on AP doesn't mean skill at all.

While there are quite a few very skilled and ambitious players, not everyone has the ambition that is probably more prevalent in 19s. Look at me, I'm a scrub who stuck around because of the people I befriended and like. :p

Thirk, there is a way to get Wargames. Just convince enough people to roll new characters and stop at 19. You probably won't be able to, because apparently very many people secretly don't actually want to do wargames. :/

Wargames are currently tedious and inaccessible, which is part of the problem. Why the fuck has it been over 2 years with no fix to the wargames bug? That shit is seriously irritating.

Just my 2 cents. This game isnt about skill..maybe 5% is skill at most.

Wow pvp in the 20-24 bracket may be:
-4% of skill.
-16% of learning what a class can do to you, how much damage, etc who to stay away from and what to do , how to interupt
-30% of learning about ourself, how to react in which situation, and how keep our calm, do not flame about stuff or things like ping, and also trust our own char which for which we spent tons of hours of tests, training, building for reach a decent harmony which fits what we think as one. (Our own vision of it)
-10% of time spent for wait for duel the guys we need to train with or versus.
And finally,-50% of finding people with similar interests, and goals to premade with so we can shine to our full potential and AP just happended to be the place with many similar minded ppl...you premade together and roll over your enemy.

Eh, to each his own, but I heavily disagree with the spirit of this post and the ideology of it when it comes to this bracket.

That's not to say that I don't feel this way from time to time, it's just when I do, instead of posting on a forum about it I remember these two facts;

It's a trial bracket, some of the players have never played this bracket before, it's unfair to criticize them when they don't meet up to certain expectations as a lot of people are trying the game out for their first time. This is not "our" bracket.

It's a trial bracket, you aren't paying for real game play so don't expect it. Just as someone else in this topic pointed out, people opt in for 19's/70's. They turn their EXP off and prepare themselves for an experience. F2P 20's is not a bracket you can opt in or out of and it isn't a bracket you can prepare for if you're a new player.

It's as easy as

/bg Hello there, I see there are some new players in this group. If you would like to consider a better way to enjoy the bracket, make friends, and have a better experience please visit twinkinfo.com and look for the "f2p" section. We can help you.

So.... 4 + 16 + 30 + 10 + 50 = 110%. Nice math there buddy.

Also, what you described is 50% skill.

99.99% of statistics are made up.

When it comes to competitive sports you're always expected to give it 110%. Why should online gaming be any different?
