Free Gametime with the Pre-Patch (Event) ?

Hello Folks. I haven't touched the Game in a few years. Basically left the Game with the Split of the 20s Random Battlgeround,.

As far as I remember there used to be free Gametime before a new Expansion. Usually kicking in at some point of the Prepeatch.
With the latest Expansion(s) we needed to have one max-level Character to be able to use the Dungeon-Groupfinder. If that's still the case I want to level up one of my High-Level Characters to be able to continue to use the Dungeon-Groupfinder.

Do we still need a Max-Level Char to be able to use the Dungeon-Groupfinder on a level 20?

Is there News on free Gametime during the Pre-Patch before the new expasion Release?

Hi there. Good chance there will be a free weekend soon. I’d expect it during the Pre-Patch before the TWW goes live.

They are probably busy putting out fire atm with all the issues in Pre-Patch. I’d say once that settles we may see the free time.

Anyone can use Chromie time now, no need for a high level to use dungeon finder.

yep, 19:00 CET I was kicked off.
But somethng strange happened:
my lvl20 is getting exp, with the xp bar filling up, xp messages popping up ....
had to abandon an instance run in fear of dinging 21
pretty sure I had no such messages prior to this free time and the lvl20 had xp cap disabled

tested on a freshly dinged lvl20 that I didn't care much about ... it was getting xp messages too, but stayed lvl20

XP bar upon relogging shows: 36353/19770
so next free time he will probably ding immediatly ... beware!!

I turned off xp in one of my toons but strangely xp messages still popping up.

Not everything was fixed. Any banked XP since the free weekend ended is still there. So the next time any of those characters log in while having game time it will be applied and leveled. So anyone that played in the last day will have to watch for future free game time to make sure they don't lose access to their characters.

I’m still convinced the lack of warning for the free weekend at the start, and this bug post-free time is meant to ruin 20’s……

They don’t like our kind and I’m sure the GM’s have a good lol when one of us begs to delevel our 20’s…….

just killed a bunch of mobs on a lvl20 with xp-off and got xp messages and even a visible ding, although he stayed 20.
this is a fresh lvl20 where I deactivated xp shortly after the free time was over, the xp-off debuff isn't shown ... but Experience Eliminator only offers to turn it off again.

hmm, on a lvl10 xp-off I wasn't getting any xp messages, this one had deactivated xp prior to pre-patch and he is displaying the xpoff-debuff properly
but maybe he has banked max already ...
