[Footage] Boosting as a level 70

Hello, i'm not here to promote anything related to my youtube channel (i'm not even a content creator) i just upload footage of some of my regular gameplay (sometimes)

The video is self-explanatory, it's a level 70 kinda equiped with a few honor gear and 545 boes, far from "full" but it is already enough. Just sharing for someone who's sitting in a mythic toon:

No macro gimmick, no party sync or anything, this footage is just myself as 5 accounts

being 70 actually enabled me to skip most of the dungeons (as a hunter) and that made it sometimes probably faster than going as level 11

Thanks for posting this.

For anyone who is confused, this ilvl 545+ gear came from yet another Blizzard screw up: Bismuth lockboxes at the start of TWW produced this gear and level 70s can wear it. This is now fixed but if you didn't get it in the first 2 weeks of TWw, you're probably not going to. It's still out there but it's incredibly expensive. It should be noted that if you raided Heroic+ or did not too-high keys in DF S4, you can get to ilvl 515+.

It's also worth adding that as soon as Midnight launches, assuming it raises th elevel cap to 90, this game is over. To stay 70 then you'll need to XP-lock and I'm not sure you'll be able to without logging in with a higher level cap and thus (AFAIK) levelling with your built up XP.

This is partly what made the XP debuff permaban wave so silly. Of course the unwashed masses on the Blizzard forums were incapable of processing this nuance.

I really do wonder if we'll see a repeat of this with 80s come Midnight. Personally I'm not sure I'm going to buy Midnight at all. Not for this reason but for me TWW is arguably the worst expansion. It made basically everything worse, especially TW. Yes, lowering TW to 10 created boosting opportunities and I have 11 twinks but I suspect Blizzard sis going to do something about that (beyond the ilvl nerf in 11.1). The weekly events are worse. I certainly don't care about player housing.

One follow-up question: you seem to run through the dungeon stealthed (Camouflage I assume?). How far can you get from the twinks where they still get XP, most notably the dungeon end bonus. There are dungeons where being too far won't give you credit. Azjol-Nerub has this problem. It could even happen in Utguarde Keep. How much of a problem is it? I've generally just auto-followed and killed everything.

how can we disable xp for our 70 Twinks tho
it is not disabled, this is an account with game time and without the expansion as was mentioned above

Correct, that's why for this to workout you gotta at least have mythic toons from the last season of the game preferably equiped with mythic level gear. while on the video im around 517 ilvl it is completly possible to reproduce it with just season 4 dragonflight gear too

Oh boy it will for sure, it has been like that since BFA, where legion mythic twinks were op for their respectively scaling. The current ilvl gap between expansion is closer than before so having a mythic toon is already enough

Yes camouflage, they stop getting xp about 500 yards i think, just throwing a value out of my mind. After a few testing with this level 70 i came to the conclusion that (at least for cataclysm dungeons) it runs about 20% faster as level 70 skipping than with level 11, they dont get loot from mailbox and they dont get much xp from mobs, but in the end it compensates the xp bonus for completion

This footage doesn't show but in some cases it is possible to skip entire bosses from the dungeon, i think DPS with sustainability and tanks are all worth it for this (hunter BM, paladins, dks, Dhs)

i also tested this toon killing elites in Ohn'ahran Plains and in terms of boost, it worked better there, but i dont have footage from it now <- this method will also be valid in the future after chromie time scales to level 80

the downside is you gotta have gametime, but, all things considered, it is worth it
