Flat dmg reduction trinkets are getting a lot better in DF

We all know that item level is getting bumped up by a huge amount in DF, so it will be an epic meta.

but some blue trinkets are still worth using, specifically, damage reduction ones.

A direct result of stats scaling up is that flat damage reduction items are now much better than before, to be specific, they are more than twice as good as before.

the idea associated with dmg reduction item is that you smooth out the incoming damage so that you have more balanced damage taken vs. healing taken.

dps is not doubling in DF, period. but these trinkets are receiving almost twice of the buff.

Not crazy high you are just unlucky which happens.

its applied after passive reducers like vers but before active reducers like ignore pain and shield block

similarly flat damage items are also buffed:

Live vs. PTR, proc rate: auto-attack about 150 times over 320 seconds, had 12 procs. (remember when this ring did 3 dmg back in the day? lol)

legion trinkets was nerfed to 25% effectiveness during BFA - it's true. But during Shadowlands launch all old PvP modifiers was removed - so they should have full power again, wowhead effect description shows PvP modifier 1 not 0,25.

i tried them, and they are still at 25% (just mouse over the item while dueling)

I see. Same story with Azerite gear shield and regeneration powers.

i am sitting at 7000 health and 50% vers.

damage reduction is great if you think about it because you are absorbing damage that's already reduced by vers (-25%) and defense stance (-20%).
