Today I decided to try and level fishing to 525 on a few more of my twinks so i can use the raft on all of them. I am stuck at northrend fishing level 16 for like 20 minutes now. It hasn't went up any. Can i not level fishing in dmf any more? Do i have to actually go to northrend to level northrend fishing?

No idea because my fishing is 800 or whatever, but 1) sometimes it takes a while to level and 2) it’s possible. Try going to NR to fish. Personally, I try to level fishing at the same time as going for achievements or doing things such as the fishing tournament.

Regardless, you SHOULD be able to level fishing still from the DMF quest and the org/SW fishing dailies.

Btw, you don’t NEED the raft to win the tourney. GL

You only need pandaria fishing skill 1 to use it.
The fact that you don't have it by now most likely tells me that you never learned pandaria fishing skill and with 8.0 changes to gating skills behind actual levels you will not be able to do it anymore.
Atleast in upcoming years.

Thanks for the reply guys. I got a twink or 2 that can use the raft. Guess I out of luck on others.
