Fishing Rumsey Rum Black Label

Zerged

Legend
So I read you can fish Rumsey Rum Black Label as a f2p. I saw on wowhead that you can fish it in strangelthorn vale. But the fishing spots are all over the place. So can you fish it anywhere or do you have to find those "wreckages"? I searched the whole shoreline yesterday and could only find 1 wreckage .... which could be fished like 3 times then it disappeared and it didn't even drop a rumsey rum. So this sound like it's almost impossible to find them by fishing or am I mistaken?

Ye but do you need to fish those 'wreckages' or does it not matter where you fish in stranglethorn?

There's an excellent thread for simple questions such as this: http://www.twinkinfo.com/f43/questions-answers-place-any-question-about-f2p-37791/

A simple Google search returns a first result of Rumsey Rum Black Label - El's Extreme Anglin' - WoW Fishing Guide, which shows that its a 20% drop from Bloodsail Wreckage and 5% from Oily Blackmouth/Firefin Snapper schools. Based on the wowhead fishing percentage of 1.2%, I'd assume that you won't get it from fishing out of pools, but that may also be skewed by lots of data from Tastyfish pools (which definitely don't give you Rumsey).

imo, even though you can only have 3 at a time, it's still more cost effective time-wise to use Halaani Whiskey.

I think ive answered where to fish for those like 4 or 5 times now :D

Well you can fish them from the wreckages in the cape of stranglethorn, the blasted lands, swamp of sorrows, eastern and western plaguelands and like the person said above there are 2 or 3 spawn locations up north in hillsbrad foothills wich is at the border of the plaguelands just below the waterfall also there are 2 or 3 locations in northern stranglethorn wich is at the border with the cape of stranglethorn next to grom'goll basecamp. And yeah you can fish them from oily blackmouth and firefin snapper pools too but that % is not so high. Its way better to get the flightpaths to the mentioned locations and just fish from those wreckage pools. There are always wreckages to find. If you empty one another will spawn somewhere else.

Thx for all the good answers.

Ye I tried it again today on the shore of stranglethorn vale and I found several bloodsail wreckages unlike yesterday when I only found one of them.
Some of those bloodsail wreckages even dropped some rumsey rum black label for me finally :)

So, to all the noob fishers like me, don't give up, hehe

There's a pretty deserted area in Tanaris that you can fish this up in the Wreckage too. Far south near Land's End Beach near the coast. Follow it back up north on the east-side and you're bound to find a few Wreckage fishing pools.
