Just wanted to start a thread asking everyone how long it took them to get their lucky fishing hat, I know its all rng but im just a little curious, oh and if you could also tell your fishing skill when you got the hat, thanks

Everyone has said the drop rate has been increased from .1% to 5%, but, i dont think so.

It took me forever to get the +5 line fish. Some people still can't get it after quite a few tries and others get it first try.

I know people back from Pre-BC all the way to WOTLK who have been trying to get their LFH for years with no luck. Yet when shattering comes out, you hear ppl in F2P Chat getting it like it's raining money. Almost every sunday, we get 5+ ppl getting their LFH.

I have noticed ALOT of f2p's have the hat and i was wondering if the drop rate has increased by some chance or not, well hopefully i get this thing tommorow

16 weeks over here...! though I only fished for a single hour on 2-3 of those weeks

First character, about 10 weeks, 2nd character first try, 3rd character first try and now on my 4th character this week will be my fourth try

2 on my shaman

5 on my warrior

3 on my rogue



Averaging about 160-180 tastyfish per competition (managed 220 when I had an alt with a mammoth).



They all had 100 fishing going into the competition (enough to use find fish).

7 weeks, no special fish (fishing skill from low 200's to mid 300's).

6 weeks and nothing, I'm just doing fishing dailies and hopeing for the best.

3 weeks for Mestuk to get Keefer (Estimated fishing skill 250+ with track fish), few weeks go by and i get a Keefer 2 for 1 deal happen where I fished one with my alliance mage(Est fishing skill 100-150) then hop on my horde warrior(fishing skill 1) and fish another one up.

13 weeks, 2 competition wins, One +5 fishing line(on week 11) still no LFH. RNG sucks.
