I've seen a couple threads recently about weapon damage and feral druids. And since I happened to have a green bg staff drop of the same type as the blue bg staff I currently use, I decided to grab some data points.
If you don't know why weapon damage is so important, check this quote from AskMrRobot theory wiki.
So I recorded my tooltip damage with various combinations of enchant and weighstone and threw my findings in a spreadsheet. For shits, at the end, I chugged a +5 agi pot.
Things I found interesting:
+1 Dmg enchant seems to be worth about 10 agi
Rough Weighstone and the +1 enchant give the same increase in damage
The damage increase from No Weighstone to Rough Weighstone is greater than the increase from Rough Weighstone to Coarse Weighstone.
Coarse Weighstone seems to be worth about 15 agi.
I guess the TL;DR is, if you're going to play feral, make sure to farm up a bunch of Coarse Weighstones. They are a +15 agi consumable that doesn't go away on death. Seems like a no brainer.
If anybody knows of a staff that has better than 6.0 dps, I'd be interested in farming it.
