feral/resto spec

Beats on Fourteens
Does anyone have a viable feral/resto druid spec i could use just for duels? Has anyone even tried it yet in the 60 bracket, and if so, did you have any success? I just wanted a unique build for my druid as for my warrior I have a dw prot spec and a 2h/shield furry spec, because i gem stam/hit for experimenting.

Thanks in advance: Threestes:cool:

terrible stupid idea for a lvl 60. bare minimum you NEED mangle to be competitive (no claw for you!). that leaves you with maximum 10 points you can use in resto. the 1st two tiers suck balls for enhancing healing, they're primarily feral talents for 80s.

if your goal is to survive better then make sure you are getting survival instincts, nurturing instinct, thick hide, survival of the fittest, and some others. you'll need to be effective at shapeshifting...going from cat to bear, bear to healer, healer to travel or any variation of such. these need to be bound, not clicked. make a macro that will change from what form you're in and instantly start healing or something.

my suggestion for a max survival/pvp build: Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft

could be more max'd for pve dps or tanking, or even max pvp damage. but with this you should be a lot harder to take down, easier to heal, and even capable of healing your self when needed.

I was thinking something like Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft because i'll go half feral gear n half resto gear because w/ Nurturing Instinct, 70% of all agility becomes sp too. I would never go oom w/ the 20% int increase, so i'll dot up ma heals and just claw their ass.

Too low dmg to kill anyone tho

this and even with half resto gear you'd still run oom from low mana pool if you seriously tried healing. those resto talents are shit, you're better off with mangle (or a full feral build like i linked) or just choosing to go resto.

and you're better off going full feral like my spec and stacking agility, enchants, gems, etc. than messing up ur feral dps with healing gear.

If i went all feral gear and a caster ring, and filled the gem slots with int gems, i wouldn't go oom. If i did find myself going oom i may switch a piece of feral gear to resto gear. When i get time tonite, i'll experiment with this.

I will agree here. Either go full feral or full resto. The hybrid won't work. Feral is tuff enough in the 60 bracket to play effectively against other twinks you would only be gimping yourself by trying to get some sort of healing out of it. This is my druid. Currently set up for resto. The World of Warcraft Armory - Dairyqu

that just defeats the purpose of NI. you'll still have a small ass mana pool since theres only so much gem gear. and you'd be doing less healign since int doesnt add spell power (yet hehe) but agility does. you'd be better off going full feral gear, stacking agi, and doing a spec like mine for max surviving

I'd be getting 10 gem slots if i went the quest head, cloth legs, 2 rings, and waist. That would be 3k mana, plus the 20% extra. So i'd get 240 int which comes to 3,600 mana. That with the base mana and little int from the gear, may stack up some. Also for rest would a spec like Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft be any good as a dueling spec? So theres no need to switch out of tree to pop a moonfire or a roots? So you'd conserve the mana of shape shifting and improved barkskin gives you 160% more armor in travel form and regular "cow" form. Would this work? Not as an arena spec, because you'd want to get wild growth, but as a 1 on 1 spec?

@ Sanodar, This hybrid spec would only be for dueling, not arenas. An i'v all ready leveled the dude up, and i have bags and banks full with gear. Although he is 61, i thought i wanted to level him up to 70, because im on a bc capped account, but i decided to stay at 61 for arenas and world pvp. I only use 50 talent points however.
