FC Video- Throwing my Footage in

Khaos

Dare to be Optimistic
Well here it is, As I am newer to FCing I did make tons of mistakes and out of the hours of footage I took I got a 9 min video. I hope you all enjoy, I am always a fan of constructive criticism, but be gentle :)

Great video there, I'd imagine it's hard to make warrior FCing look interesting on a video but you did it well :) Good awareness of where the healers are and when to go on cap, which are two very important things for a FC warrior, and for any FC for that matter. Liked the charge juke up from GY, gj! You have seemed to pick up FCing fast, probably way faster than what I did when I first started fcing on my druid :p

I didn't see any fakejump jukes on that video, that is an useful skill to learn for FCing. This means you get on an edge (of roof, for example), and jump up vertically, making it look like you're jumping down. Some melee opponents might think you're jumping down and so they jump after you, leaving you stay on the roof with an opponent or two less :p

Another thing you seemed to not be doing was backstrafing. Now, avoidance and healers are two of a prot FCs best friends. Most of the avoidance comes from passive things such as armor, resilience, and defensive stance, but the most upper hand a warrior has vs other FC classes is when you're playing vs melee or hunters. This is when your parry, dodge and block stats become useful: shield block effectively reduces all melee/hunter dmg by 30%, and as a warr you should have a bit above 20% parry chance, which is pretty much 20% dmg less from melee opponents. The thing is, you can only block/parry attacks made from the front; when you're running away in a normal way, opponents will get the chance to attack you from the back which renders dodge/parry/block useless. This is why you should nearly always backstrafe when being attacked by melee.

Here's a guide I found:

Lastly, perfecting your movement is an important thing for any 19 twink. By this I mean, moving around WSG as effectively as possible. I don't mean stack speedpots, I mean like cutting corners everywhere you can, jumping to a lower level in a way that you don't go to the opposite direction where you're heading when you're in the air. Moving in a straight line to where you're heading, et cetera. It's hard to explain every little bit of this but the bottom line is: Always pay attention to how you move around WSG and in your base, and aim to do it as effectively as possible.

Again, a good watch and totally made me feel like wiping the dust from my prot set and try some prot FCing again :p

Ps. Sorry for the mile long post!

Actually can you tell me a decent player who get juked jump ?

Because all PuGs = 10v10 A-team premade? :p Oh nevermind, Stubs and Pump get juked too. Red got juked in Ownas video. Hell, I can admit even I get juked sometimes if I'm not paying enough attention.

Where you see 10 A team premade it's really fun cuz i don't play A brewmaster for TL.

What I meant was, PuGs are nearly never filled with 20 decent players... And you say decent players don't get juked. Somewhat true, but Pug players aren't always good, and they get juked often.

Don't feel like derailing Khaos' thread, so please don't make me explain further. PM me if you have something mate

i liked the jukes :) however i feel that watching you sit in saps, whilst it is an inevetiable part of FCing, is not great footage to put in a video. Not trying to be mean or anything, just something to consider.

Good video mate, I'ma healbot you some time. xD

I may put that in my FC guide Im working on (throwing together all the tips people have been giving me into one solid guide while accrediting everyone coordinately) Thanks so much for the Tips and let me know how you enjoyed dusting off the prot set :)
