For skinning u just gather 6-10 mobs that you can skin. Kill them all near

each other and skin them without looting, then drag skinning onto your bar

(u cant right click to skin with the loot still there) and re-skin them in

the same order you originally skinned them. You will get skill off of each

one again and again. Basically the server resets the ability to gain skill

off them after you've skinned more than 6-10 of them. This works the same

for herbing and mining...you can either gather 6-10 skinning mobs around a

mine/herb or you can bring 6-10 minable or herbable mobs around the node.

It's probably a glitch however its mostly undetectable, so you wont get in

trouble for doing your profs this way. Also as a side note...i have confirmed it works perfectly with skinning/mining and skinning/herbing...however i am not sure if it works with the herbable mobs for herbing and the minable mobs for mining...it probably does tho.

delete this post plz, dont need blizz hotfixing this....if people read it good if not too bad this is something between you and me and the only people that read this thread- dont announce it like all the other bugs...some people already knew about this and we've been trying to keep it on the DL if you know what i mean...

i made a video on this 2 weeks ago, but i can't post it cause its about 25mb's and since i'm offshore on a boat, the net won't let me xfr that much at a time :(
 
heh wish id known about this sooner, wasted too much time trying to level herbing the old fasioned way!

i woulda deleted it....except i only posted it with 2 days left till profs got grandfathered....i did this specifically to help ppl who were short on time and needed to lvl profs fast...i would never have posted this is profs werent getting grandfathered, or if the grandfathering was weeks away



im not here to spoil anyones exploiting, but i seriously doubted bliz was gona hotfix this 2 days before and major patch...i dont even think it was fixed in the patch
 
I'm going to try finishing my skinning to 450 this weekend... so I'll keep you guys updated if it works or not!
 
can confirm this does NOT work for mining as of 3.0.8



atleast it didnt work for me, skinning did however

Ye its kinda sad, to writ stuff in this forum, Blizz prob have spies and they, are looking for bugs and stuff :p so they can ruin our life's.

well umm like i said...it was 2 days before the patch...so they werent gona hotfix it before then



if i had posted say 3 weeks before patch...then u could b angry
 
I'm not able to skin without looting first so I'm not sure how this bug still works? I have skinning on my hotbar and it tells me creature must be looted first.

Yeah, I have the same problem. It says that the mob needs to be looted first before I can skin it.



Any ideas as to why it works for some and not others?
 
Can you explain what that means? I've tried doing a few different things but either I can't skin or when I do the mob disappears.

1. You put the skinning-skill on your actionbar, for example at nr 4.

2. You kill the mob, while of course not grouped with your twink for not giving him xp.

3. You loot the mob.

4. You stand next to the mob, click 4 and start skinning it.

5. You DON'T loot the leather.

6. You go to the next mob.



When you've killed, looted and skinned about 6 mobs, you go back to that first mob and press '4' again to start skinning it. Again don't loot the leather, but start skinning the next mob. Rince and repeat.
 
basically u cant skin when "loot" is there....(money/items)



u can reskin when leather/skinning mats are there...u just have to hit the hotkey to do it (cant right click)
