Farming Ring of Law

Wow... this is driving me nuts. I need the belt for my warlock and have literally spent two evenings without the boss even showing himself.



Approx. 30 runs, and all I get are Grizzle, the crypt spider and the other spider. The eviscerator and ogre haven't even shown themselves. Statistically speaking they should have shown themselves 5 times by now...



Has anyone tried to farm this place recently and seen them?

They removed him from the game in 3.0.8. You missed it by <-----> that much. ;)
 
I had some issues as well... I got I think 15xSpiderfang Carapaces before I got my Cyclopean Band. I guess we just have bad luck ><.
 
I levelled my lock from 42 to 49 in that place, by clearing the way to the Ring and the Ring itself with my main.



I got about a gazillion belts, carapaces, gladiator items and whatnot.



Zero cyclopedian rings.

Are you serious or not? I see nothing in the 3.0.8 notes. After spending 3 nights in there without that mob even showing, I'm really not in the mood for "jokes" like this.
 
I got a belt for a mate of mine 3 days ago, who rolled lock. Its there just a pain in the ass to get spawn. I have always had trouble with orthokk so don't worry... you joining the fraternity!!!

Farm it and he will come.





Edit: NO it isn't removed... Rudy is taking the piss :p
 
He's still there. You just have bad luck. That's sort of what BRD is for most people.



When I needed Hedrum, I got the ogre like 8 times. When I needed the ogre, it's all the other ones. When you want Greaves of Withering Despair, you get 7 Enthralled Spheres, 3 Blackveil Capes and 6 Kentic Amices before you see them. Try to farm Arbiter's Blade and hello 10 Chillsteel Girdles.



Blizz hasn't removed any of the bosses. BRD is merely a sadistic mistress.
 
I just got lucky and picked up my Spiderfang Carapace today... only to find out that my 'chanter buddy doesn't have Fortitude to boots and can only give me Surefooted. Since I don't need the extra hit anymore, I'll probably switch out the Spiderfang Carapace for my Hydralick Armor...



Bah!
 
Making 49 twinks is a pain in the ass, honestly.



I helped a druid friend with Okthor's loot and was building myself a mage but leveled him to 69 just because I was sick of needing random loot from random bosses.



I did build a 49 hunter recently and Sunken Temple was a nightmare. I got pretty lucky with Maraudon.
 
I skipped farming "of the" blues. That's not just my time spent, it's someone else's time as well. And that someone won't be so psyched to help me out in the future whether he gets paid or not:(



For the most part your more easily acquired gear is almost as good, enough to keep it from making that big of a deal.

That's one of the bigger things about twinking though, isn't it?

That quest for perfection in your gear?

In a game where everything else is the same or against similarly geared players, 10hp or 20mana could make all the difference.



Sure, it's hard.

But that's kind of what you signed up for when you decided to twink, no?
 
You're right; that's certainly not the mindset I have for my 29 retadin-in-training (he's getting ev-ry-thang)



The only reason I've thought that way about my 49 is that I intend to level eventually.
 
urgh yeah, gear farming for 49s is a pain.

luckily i got phytoskin spaulders and grovekeeper's drape on my very first mara run. but it took me 20 more runs, 4 bloomsprout headpeices and 2 nature's embraces before i got my fungus shroud >_<
 
That just happened to me too Ramune... i ended up with 10 Bloomsprouts unfortunately and 8 Nature's Embraces ><



Just wait, now that I'm farming gear for my hunter... Bloomsprout will never drop.

that's actually coded into the game



it psychicly detects what drop you need and lowers it's % rate
 
I saw that its called "The Ring of THE Law" now... has that changed? i always thought it was just "The Ring of Law".



I think all twinks unite in the thought "fuck that ogre". :)

They have NOT removed Blue Ogre guy.

I finished farming him yesterday for my Pal twink.

So stop saying shit please :)

It was a joke - which you would've noticed if you read on :)



It took me 114 runs for that Cyclopean Band on my druid. I'm hoping my luck isn't that shit for my paladin.
