*Fake Twink Items on AH* (SCAM)

Looked through AH last night and was amazed when I saw a lot of greens with stats I have never seen before:



Fortified Bracers of the Bear +5 Sta +3 Str

Outrunner's Chestguard of Eagle +8 sta +5 int

Superior Cloak of Stamina +7 Sta

Outrunner's chestguard of the monkey +5 agi +8 sta

Wrangler's Belt of Stamina +9 sta

Watcher's cape of the eagle +5 int +3 sta



All of the items were lvl 19 and I paid about 10g-30g each for them.....



Has anyone ever seen these items before?



The funny thing is, when the items got to my inbox and I put them into my backpacks, the stats all disappeared....I haven't tried to equip any of them yet to see if I still get the stats, but they only say the name of the item and the Armor with no stats or abilities whatsoever. I think someone is creating items that can be sold on AH, sorta like when people figured out how to "Dupe" in Diablo. I reported it in a ticket and got an email back that said the matter will be investigated.



Pls reply if you have any info or insight into the matter...

I'd try deleting my cache folder, I don't think anyones scamming you, it's just a bug.
 
A GM might have restored the items incorrectly, or it's your cache.
 
Probably cache, it can cause a lot of weird things like this to happen, it made all weapons on my screen invisible one time.
 
this happened to me also, i bought a pair of 7 stam boots, and when i got them in the mail the stats were gone.
 
I've seen something like this happen. I doubt it's a scam; it's probably just some sort of AH-glitch.



I've seen +6 stam/+3 agi Scouting Gloves, posted for 200g. Everyone else in my guild saw them as well. When we bought it, it was statless just as the OP described.

It's restored gear someone threw on the AH. After I was hacked the GMs restored all my various greens with better than normal stats - I had close to 50 various greens with this. I have talked to others that had the same thing occur and there use to be random posts about it on the forums. Oddly - you get these and the stats vanish - but mail it to another character and you will again see the stats until you take it out of the mail.
 
yea its your cache

Yea dude just delete your cache folder. one time it turned my mount into a tauren, or atleast something resembling one
 
Clear your cache :)

If that doesn't help, try reinstalling wow. If you have been playing on any private servers recently, that could also be doing it. I remember one time i played on a private server, then when i went back to regular wow my hearthstone required lvl 60 T_T
