Great point DC. Yes thats ur new nickname. You been contributing lately enough to deserve a New nickname . Im playing differently last few months. You have the majority at 28 and 29 and you have f2ps/p2p with restrictions. In the past you've had a few 20s with p2p enchants. I decided to play as a 20 with 2 sets of gear f2p restrictions and 2- with p2p enchants . i like having 2 sets of her for changes.

I get the best of all worlds (not just 2). i get the challenge of fighting it out against 29s with more abilities/glyphs and gear to exploit blizzard's scaling system and restrict myself in bgs for the challenge with f2p restrictions (if i choose to). Lastly being able to contribute to both communities yet not truly belonging to either.

I dont think u understand how scaling works now. Every lv scales, there are 0 ways to get more stats in any way, shape or form than a 29 could.

Correct. But I think what badger is meaning is by not being lazy and farming a lot of different items to check scaling, then someone doing their home work can 'exploit' some lower level items scaling better than the items most 29s have.

So, given the changes, no reason not to go to 29 then? Just gear the 29 with whatever the new low-level BiS items shake out to be, correct?

edit: will be interesting to see what grandfathered lowbie items there will be, for instance if tunic of westfall or seal of wrynn did some crazy scaling

No i understand now, i slapped stuff on a 29 yesterday to verify . a lvl 29 can benefit from item scaling . I understand. but at the time of statement i was unclear since i hadn't tested it out. thank you for correcting.




You are correct no reason at this time to not be 29 vs a 28. unless blizzard makes a patch fix or correction in case this wasn't intended.



But if you want to have to sets of gear like a 20 with restriction n non restriction for the challenge u can only do with a 20.
