Hello guys, I have a small ideea for a side project I want to run by you...
Are any of you dedicated F2P players interested in a some
Sort of under the books trading for items that cannot be obtained
with a pure non linked account? Like for example the wormhole toy for
Shadowlands or the feather for obtaining Sunrider mount? I would also
like to hear what other kind of items would be desirable for a pure F2P
and not obtainable without a sub.
Fair warning, it will involve the Exile Reach trading method,
and at least one instance of the Pirate Day event.

Why warning? Is exile reach method bannable?

Why ... just why ?
Exile's traiding is just scuffed vet with extra steps. The more people use it/know it, the more doubt it rises on how F2P players got their items, where F2P is especially about limitations and challenges :FrogeTorch:

I think its funny, as someone who is new/outside of the 20 community when shit like this comes up that has obviously been at least in the proximity of some long-lasting contention. As an outsider, (i don't know what exile trading is, or that it was already an established thing) I assumed this was like an "oh, cool initiative, and or find" kind of thing. Meanwhile, you guys clearly have pre-established positions on this shit.

comes from having a position on what makes F2P fun.

I enjoy that the restrictions placed on F2P accounts add a layer of complexity to the game that is otherwise absent. Finding a way to obviate those restrictions (especially on trading in what is essentially a collectors game) trivializes the playstyle. If you're gonna trade... you might as well go vet.

note: for the exile's reach mobile banking to work, you will have to get friendly with your guild. you can gain reputation with your guild by doing quests on exiles island, should be able to hit friendly pretty easily :)

Not bannable as far as we know but I put the warning for people to know this trading is for a new alt, since already existing chars cannot acces exile reach.
[doublepost=1670722871,1670722441][/doublepost]Im gonna be honest, I didnt wanted to stir stuff up, my ideea was to establish some sort of "underground" shop for players that cant afford a sub, and sell some usefull items, like mount equipment or convenience account wide stuff. They would pay me with Bags of Loot bought from the Pirate Day vendor, and I would trade them with my alt on Exile Reach. It would give F2P a reason to use/store gold, get some rare/unobtainable/harder stuff to get, and I get to tap a niche market while doing some very funny RP (I even made a char nammed Smuggler on Exile Reach, with a bandit mog and all the shit).

Edit: I don't force anyone to buy my stuff, the decision will always be up to the players.

Tbh everyone do what they want with their character, there have been lots of bugs in the history of F2P, from DK creation, to AH access, to instance summoning and exile's trading. Everyone set their own limits on how they play this game.
Just gotta be honest with others on how you got your stuff and not be on the behavior of "Oh all those rare items? Well, I got them in a blingtron gift, I'm pretty lucky "
But you can't remove from my mind that trading items to a F2P account ruins the collector objectives.
