REMINDER: We're quickly running-out of time if anyone's still hoping to attempt additional F2P Scarlet Monastery runs...

Personally I only had a few spare minutes to "probe their defenses" today... I wasn't actually able to discover any convenient entry-points, but I did concoct some more-convoluted ideas that I can test tomorrow (don't worry, if there's a way in I will find it).

At least my brief experiments allowed me to flex my wall-jumping skills a bit!

Well, with the EU-team-that-has-no-name, we made a clear of that dungeon, on the first weekend of the event.
We took a total of 1h30 to finish it ....
Why so long? Because we took 20 minutes to clean the dungeon, and MORE THAN ONE FRICKING HOUR to glitch our way out of the starting zone. The path we took was easy on paper, but some kept falling again and again and again and again and ... well, you understand .... Not everyone is at ease with the basics of jumping :/

We've lost motivation to make another clear (after this chill training round) and risk to waste a lot of time by just having some people who keep loosing their equilibrium at the worst moment

We wanted to try some duo runs, but we got some IRL stuff on our way .... next year for us then

My friend finished their school work in time to give SM another go and even roped another one in to helping us.

We got whomped a few times

But we did it!

Probably woulda been easier if the mage's hunter hadn't fallen through the world get stuck unable to reconnect

For whatever it's worth, I wouldn't consider that sort of "Prerequisite Time" to be counted against your total... the clock doesn't start until everyone's in the "first" (so-to-speak) room!

You jest... but I've often appreciated how @Brihan's dungeon write-ups will mention mistakes, but without indulging the natural urge to ridicule anyone by name. Respect!

...what happens when The Greatest F2P Paladin in the World decides to single-handedly assault the combined forces of the Scarlet Monastery?

I have no idea... that Paladin wasn't available, so I had to do it instead.

As one might expect, I eventually got pummeled like a goddamn Target Dummy until my armor turned red... but at least I made it to the first boss!

(I'll be sure do a "proper write-up" of my masochism in one of the more-relevant threads...)

In case you don't know, the Anniversary starts on the 5th November TOMORROW!!! but I couldn't get more information on the time it gets live on EU or US :/

And this anniversary also means Alterac Valley battles !! And in case you wonder, it's indeed the "old school" AV that we get (or we might get the current AV system, but in that case, you'll have to burn my GM who spent 15 minutes to dig out that information ^^)

I heard that my fellow Blood-Elves are throwing a bangin' party down in the Caverns of Time... so I obviously had to go check it out, and that means "pictures"!

First impressions: they've really leaned-in to the whole "Representation Banners" motif... every player race is displayed, but 99% of the celebrants are Blood-Elves! So, either my brethren are extraordinarily considerate... or everyone else is a bunch of "party poopers".




My first priority was to hit da' club, of course... fortunately I had V.I.P. status and got to move to the front of the line.

Once inside, the atmosphere was electric... I daresay it would be impossible to not dance here!

Suddenly, I was called over to a beach-volleyball tournament... not to "compete", but to "officiate" (apparently nobody else was capable of physically-climbing to the referee-position)!

They were so grateful for my assistance, that they made me an honorary "Scarab Lord"!

...but that paled in comparison to meeting "Arlo" (he is tiny and I love him and I petted him and it made me so happy).

I also got to meet a true "Celebrity Chef"!

I don't want you to think this was all just one big "diversion", however... there was also some "productive" pursuits to be found here. For example, the ubiquitous "waiters" sell these little goodies:

NOTE: They don't work in instances, and they only stack to 20... but if you're a F2P with "too much gold" and "lots of bag-space", I could see these being pretty damn handy to stock-up on!
